Spring Break

Comfortable room, good bathroom set up and wonderful location. There was an additional historical fee but otherwise check in was as expected. Area was quiet, safe and close to transit.

I would not stay or recommend this hotel again. It lacks expected hotel services but you pay hotel prices. No room cleaning services available even after requesting for it. Must ask for new towels every day, if not you get nothing.

While the pricing reflects a premium experience, the level of hospitality and communication does not consistently align with these expectations. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness appear to vary based on the individual and the time of day. Additionally, it is important to note that the doors lock at a specific time for security rounds, but this information along with much more is not always clearly communicated. You however will be greeted by a woman who makes it her number one concern to tell you how to properly function a door as its 40 degrees at 1am and your keycard doesn't work.

The staff was top notch and the hotel was beautiful. No need to worry about parking. Valet was very fast and took good care of our car and luggage. A nice walk to the monuments!

Nice property in good location. We had to park on the street though, but we were lucky to find a spot right in front of the hotel The good thing is that street parking is free from Saturday evening to Sunday

The hotel was nice and quiet. The only struggle was the shower. We asked for it to be fixed but it wasn’t. Unsure if it was because of the gigantic filter on the water source but the pressure coming from the tub was fine.

Cool, historic building. I think it’s just the nature of the building being old but the elevators were surprisingly small and slow. There were no ice makers throughout the hotel; if you wanted ice you had to ask the front desk. We tried to get water and drinks from the bar on 2 separate occasions and weren’t treated very kindly, they really don’t like providing water. One night was told you have a bottle of water in your room (which is true, it was $10, painful to spend but convenient) and the second time just flatly told no there might be water in the lobby. We looked everywhere for the tv remote in our room and couldn’t find it. Our fridge also wasn't plugged in but we didn’t notice right away so we were too hesitant to eat our really good leftovers. The one morning we decided to sleep in and had the do not disturb sign on but housekeeping still knocked on 2 separate occasions before 9AM. It was a decent location, pretty close to foggy bottom metro stop and 15 min walk to lots of shops and great restaurants in Georgetown. There are tents of homeless on either side of the building. We were out until 11/12 every night and didn’t feel unsafe though.

The rooms have no microwave. However, you can request one for your room and they will bring it. It will take you two days and 4 requests to get it. The rooms heater didn't work. Had the temperature set on 90* and the heater never came on. Just blowed room air. Called 2 times and complained and no one ever came to fix it.

We are a family of 3 with teenage daughter, we booked the one bedroom suite, it was wonderful. Spacious living room with sleeper sofa and a private bedroom which was also spacious. It felt like living in a one bedroom apartment. Beds were comfy. Windows brought in so much sunlight.

STAY AWAY! The hotel has one system for HVAC for the entire property. Because it was cool out, only heat was available. I could not cool my room and was unable to sleep for both nights of my stay because it was too hot. This ruined my trip and I left feeling like a zombie and caught an early flight home to sleep. The hotel also needs an upgrade, a thorough cleaning and the bathroom and TV are small. The front desk representatives are unhelpful and can be difficult. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This is a three star hotel pretending to be a four star.
