Good for one night.

The hotel is basic, but clean and convenient for a night’s stay. The view of the river from our room was great and the on property car park made life easier. Our bed wasn’t the most comfortable thing (and was two twins pushed together instead of an actual king). But it was perfectly fine for one night as we passed through town. The young man at the front desk was warm and friendly.

The staff were excellent. Charlie and the rest of the checkin team. Bernadette and young Liam and all the other staff in the bar and restaurant area really looked after us well.

Loved the waterfront, great food at restaurant and clean room. Surprised how walkable it was to explore the city. Special mention to Lorraine who was so lovely and kind to us during our stay. Reception, Restaurant Staff were very attentive and professional. Very quick to clear tables and keep guests glasses filled and lovely food and drink recommendations. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable. Could use a bar fridge in the room and that was the only reason we down graded from a 5 rating.

Expedia posted before I finished…. Normally I would give the Marina Hotel full marks but this stay was a little disappointing. I am down in Waterford for a least a week once a month sometimes more for work depending and have been staying in the Marina Hotel now for nearly three years depending on availability. I have kept returning as it’s handy for the site I’m working at when I’m here, the car park is secure for the work van, the staff are lovely and very friendly and welcoming, the bar/restaurant food is great and it’s a short walk into Waterford centre. Usually I’m happy with the rooms I’ve been in, beds are comfy, shower is powerful and warm and the room itself is pleasant and tidy. However this visit the room I was in was small and pokey and a little claustrophobic. The carpet had bad brown marks on it and the WiFi was non existent and unable to utilise the streaming on the TV due to this. The room was located right above the bin area so in the morning and night was very loud. Again I usually have no complaints about the Marina and will continue to return here as it’s a very nice hotel. Just felt this stay was a bit of a let down compared to others

Great hotel with very friendly staff. Good-sized double bedroom over looking the river. Good variety of breakfast choices and staff ran the operation efficiently. Good food available in the evening in the bar. Eady access to parking. Short distance to walk to shops and museums. Would recommend and certainly return.

24/7 reception, modern, clean hotel with friendly staff. 10 mins walk from Waterford centre. Resteraunt and some rooms have river views. Free, Secure parking on site. Football matches screened on Tv's in the bar.

Nice hotel if stopping over in Waterford for a few days. 10 minute walk to town centre. Rooms modern and comfortable. Only issue was the cigarette smell in the room, despite it saying it was a no smoking room. Breakfast was extra, so had that in town at a cafe.

Great hotel!

Very happy with my 2-night stay at this hotel. It's very modern and comfortable, and my room was small but great. Really liked that there was safe undercover parking for my hire car. Hotel in a very good location for sightseeing or shopping.

The rooms were small and the bed was even smaller. Not the most comfortable of stays, but not horrible either. The staff were friendly enough. The area around the hotel seemed like it might be a bit sketchy at night, so we did not venture out after dark...maybe it would have been fine, but just a vibe. I cant say I would stay again, but it served its purpose.

Hotel was nice. Check in was nice, hard to understand. Might think about adding a paper that lists ask the things people need to know. Outside had a terrible cow/livestock smell.
