âŠthen it ought to act like and apartment.
And VRBO should do a better job of defining what constitutes an âeverything you needâ kind of place.
The best part about this place was the cleanliness, pretty much downhill from there.
The kitchen could have been great, but for the lack of virtually everything youâd expect a kitchen to have. The living room furniture was basic, some obvious wear and there were no end tables or table lamps (for reading, for instance) Marked walls, a massage recliner that didnât massage.
The overall vibe of the place is worn. Front closet shelving insufficiently supported. Aforementioned shelves and bathroom towel racks pulling out of the wall. Broken vanity cabinet. Kitchen faucet handle feature: easily removed, no tool required.
Poorly lit hallway and entry area. Bedroom nightstand on one side of bed only or non existent. Stained carpet. Missing smoke detectors. I could go on, but you get the idea. Too many $s for what this place actually is, which is an enlarged/converted hotel room, accessible from a hallway within the hotel.
We asked the cleaning crew if they were aware the outside door nearest to our apartment door didnât lock? Their response: Yes they were. A deliberate Velcro strap around the door handle was why it wouldnât lock.
Queue the owners responseâŠâif only you had contacted usâŠâ Nope, you would have needed to be fixing everyday of our stay, in order for you to make it right. No thanks. Would not stay in this unit again.
