Location is brilliant and the room is quaint. It is very dusty, and the window blinds really need to be replaced. The sheets and towels are all clean, but old and worn. I would bring my own towels next time. Parking was limited, but Kelly was helpful in offering to move her car for me. The rooms are not soundproof at all, so I could hear the guys around me playing video games the whole stay. I wouldn't have been able to take private calls there. The tiny fridge is incredibly loud, and really made me nauseous sitting near it, so I wish there was a door or curtain in the doorway to the kitchenette. I'd stay again, but try for a different room - #9 seemed the most private.
An older property, beautiful woodwork on the inside. Furniture and decor could use an upgrade. Bed very comfortable. Outside porch/landscaping really needs some work. No check-in/facility overview info provided ahead of time. Took time to track down before I could get in then comm fine.
Once I was moved into the room I had reserved (5), things were ok. The go between, Kelly, was very responsive and kind. The room was clean and well maintained. The furniture is old, the towels were ragged and the kitchenette had no mugs ( not a biggie for me as I donât drink coffee) nor bowls. The TV remote was missing, but Kelly was quick to rectify that. I went out and bought my own pillow. The dishes, bedding and towels were clean, but well worn.Communication with Dave himself was awful. I had to prompt him for the entry code. An after check in time, I was told that my room was not available but he could put me in another room for a couple of days. One night I returned and was locked out, as the code had been changed and I was not informed of it.
Dave was extremely accommodating and helpful. The room was sufficient for our stay. There were a few things that could have been improved bit for the price and location it was terrific overall.
