Was a cozy and lovely little cabin. Was alot of stairs we were not aware of and it was a bit difficult to navigate them in the dark otherwise a nice stay and a nice little cabin.
The location of this cabin in the bush with all the noisy and unique birds in the eucalyptus tree right at our front door was incredible. How cool to see Kaka birds up close.
We loved having all the bush walks nearby and the bus stop right outside, so handy to Wellington, yet we had our little hideaway from town. Thank you heaps Lara.
Loved our stay, the owners were great with communicating and were able to change the dates when I booked the wrong weekend which was so kind. We went for a walk in the bush near by which was amazing, heard birdsong mom stop which was fantastic. Even had some friendly neighbourhood cats came to hang out with us!! Itâs close enough to the city while still being secluded. Would definitely recommend to anybody wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle.
This was a lovely sunny, well set up bach. Its location near Ćtari Wilton Park, and all its own native plantings, made for a restful stay. The only problem was there were too many interesting books on the bookcase for us to read in one weekend!
Overall it was a nice place to stay outside of the city center. Cute little cottage with lots of windows for natural light and ability to watch all the birds. Be warned there are a bit of stairs, so if you have heavy luggage keep that in mind.
My husband, our 14 yo, and I spent a few days at this lovely space just outside of downtown Wellington. The space was exactly as described! The studio was roomy and immaculate! All of the linens and the beds were comfortable â some of the best sleep we had while traveling! The CBD was an easy bus or Uber ride away â which was nice at the end of the day to have a quiet place to come back to! I would definitely stay here again!
Loved this place in a very lovely part of Wellington. Quiet, well presented, close to everything in Wellington. Loved that I felt as though I was in the country but still in the centre of the city.
This is a lovely cabin in an excellent location a 10 minute drive or easy 20 minute bus trip from the centre of Wellington. It is surrounded by bush and very close to Otari-Wilton's bush and Zealandia sanctuary. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. I would happily stay here again.
A comfortably large light space - very quiet apart from the beautiful bird sounds and activity. âa lovely boutique space with all the necessities - âwill recommend.
We were heading to Wellington for a weekend catching up with friends and an event in Wadestown, so this property was just perfect for us.
Having our own private space to relax was great and walkable back to our friends place made it perfect for us to for this weekend,
The house is also a short bus ride or Uber from the city so a great base from which to explore Welloington.
Nice stay, very clean, good communication and easy access. 10 minute drive to CBD. Not as private as we thought, (although owners were away so we had privacy) as the main house is right next to the âbush cabinâ with lots of windows. Was a little different then what we pictured as a bush cabin, but was still a nice stay.
Lovely and quiet. Situated in the hills of Wellington. Which has it's pros and cons. If you are unfamiliar with Wellington's narrow winding streets the drive can be a bit stressful as can getting out of the property located on a tight corner. Otherwise a very comfortable.
The cabin was absolutely great. It was larger than we thought it would be and the surrounding trees and peaceful neighbourhood was a real bonus. Advertised for ideal stay for couples, but we had an extra and there was more than enough room. The owners were great to deal with online. Close to some great little villages in all directions. GREAT SPOT!
What a great little hidden gem to arrive to after you've driven 7.5hrs. Comfortable, tidy and private. The hosts are lucky I didn't have roof racks on my car to steal that bed. Not often a parent gets 3 consecutive nights undisturbed perfect sleep. Thanks Lara
Iâll look forward to staying here in the future - a change in family circumstances meant I never actually got to stay there on this trip to Wellington
Loved the active birdlife, smell of eucalyptus, quiet neighborhood at night (far enough off the road not to hear traffic during nightime hours), cozy cabin, and amazing location. Kids thought the outdoor activities were a major bonus. Thanks for a great place to stay!
The unit was as described and better. It is spacious , neat , and well located. The owner was extremely friendly and had a very useful folder with great info including things to do. We will definitely go back if we head down to Wellington again.
