Relax and Enjoy Nature

Fabulous tranquility amidst beautiful mountain laurels butterflies and a babbling brook.Conveniently located near the Blue Ridge Parkway and a short drive to the town of West Jefferson. Karen and Mark are phenomenal hosts. I left making friends with these dear folks and intend to follow their journey with this property and Mark’s music!Sincerely Rod Scherich

Property and host are exceptional

The is one of the most comfortable rentals we have ever stayed at. They gave a lot of thought to the layout, the decor, and the amenities. Although it's an efficiency it's spacious and allows for cooking, relaxing, and dining in defined areas. A very well outfitted kitchen too! And the host is a lovely person and a great resource for local eateries and attractions. We couldn't have been happier!

Well equipped getaway.

Located in a tranquil landscape the well equipped spacious studio offered a quiet escape. Accessing local roads and venues was very easy, a drive to Boone or even farther is a reasonable drive. Special greeting of freshly baked bread was unexpected. Just pack your suitcase and escape to this relaxing and cozy retreat home.

Charming cottage that is equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly want or need Spotless and very well furnished with a comfortable bed The grounds are amazing and offer many ways to exercise or enjoy the outdoors Close to shopping or outdoor activities Area is known as one of the best places to shop for locally grown Frazier Fir Christmas trees. Owner was attentive and available to answer any question one might have The rental process was trouble free Overall a great experience!

Lovely setting. Close to town but quiet country like setting. Responsive hosts. Full kitchen. Comfy beds. Birds, flowers, wildlife, views, with a creek running through the garden. If this is available, don’t hesitate. You will want to stay forever!

Treehouse in a Fairytale

Karen and Mark are so gracious, very accommodating. Karen delivers fresh bread to welcome you, which is fantastic! The studio apt is exceptionally clean. Cozy, comfortable furniture and bed. Full size kitchen, very well equipped. We cooked dinner in and found everything we needed. Nice shower and jacuzzi tub in bathroom. The surroundings are beautiful plantings of mountain laurels, ferns, hostas and various flowers. Stepping stones guide your path to the entrance and only 7 steps to the door. The landscape gives you privacy when on the deck. They have a bird feeder outside the window to enjoying watching the birds, chipmunks and squirrels. It is lovely! Near to West Jefferson, Fresco churches, Blue Ridge Pwy, Jefferson Mt and New River. Absolutely would recommend for a relaxing, rejuvenating vacation.

Perfect & Peaceful place for a getaway!

This was the perfect place to stay for our honeymoon! Beautiful place, quiet atmosphere, lovely views and amazing hosts! Karen was so friendly and helpful and her homemade bread was amazing! You will not be disappointed by choosing this place. The location is centrally located and convenient; just a few miles from Downtown West Jefferson and The Blue Ridge Parkway and the drive to Boone is short and easy! I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a nice, relaxing escape from reality!

Wonderful stay with a great location

I can’t speak highly enough about this beautifully appointed studio in a central location between the Blue ridge Parkway and Downtown West Jefferson. And Karen and Mark were wonderfully accommodating and communicative. They were so helpful with our special circumstances and change of dates due to Hurricane Ian. I look forward to spending many more vacations at this lovely location owned by equally lovely people. I highly recommend!
