The condo itself was great, very clean and a nice size for our family of 4. The front door deadlock did not work, and the back door hardware is rusted away and only secured with a tiny "bolt" that i wouldn't trust to secure a toybox, much less a residence, and allows the breeze to constantly blow in. Wifi network we were told did not exist, so none of the TV's worked either (they use wifi). Owner did zilch to help with the wifi, just empty promises and no action. After about 24 hours of frustration, we eventually figured out the default wifi network name and found the default password on the back of the router and we were able to reconfigure the TV's to use it.
This place had everything we needed plus extras. We were comfortable. The beach is gorgeous and SO close, plus there is an outside shower on the way back to the condo. We got to pet the cute puppy that lived near by. We set off the smoke detectors both nights using the oven, thankfully they had fans.
When we checked into the property, the maid was locked in the condo and could not get out as there was a broken door handle to the front door and the back door would not open. The maid did a good job of cleaning and it was not her fault that she was locked in due to the faulty door. We were able to let her out and my dad fixed the door, however, the handle should be replaced. Also despite written directions next to the back door, we were unable to open it during our stay. I did not like the management company Vacasa as they sent their own messages and confirmation through their own app making finding check in and check out information difficult to locate. Checkout instructions were not written down on the property and I did not receive checkout instructions through VRBO messages or the Vacasa app. I had to call Vacasa to ask for instructions. Overall, it was a hassle working with Vacasa instead of a traditional VRBO owner and I would not do it again.
We had a great stay. The condo was well stocked and the location to the beach is amazing. Having laundry was a bonus as we stayed part way through a longer vacation. Loved having the pool for evening swims. Some information needs to be updated as it still says you need to book pool time but this is not the case. Overall a great stay and we would love to come back.
This was our second time staying here - it was great. Love the location of this unit within the WBS complex. A couple of tips for fellow travelers: bring a couple of your own beach/pool towels and, if you like a make your own meals, a good chef's knife. The kitchen could use sharpened or new knives. The beds are very comfortable and Roku was set up so that you could access all your own personal streaming services and it automatically logs you out when you check out - cool feature. Thanks for the great stay, the fun toys and family games, and books!
From the moment we walked into this lovely condo we instantly felt at home! It is so cozy and warm and the beds were very comfortable! I also appreciated the cleanliness of the entire condo inside and out and the freshly vacuumed rug! We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Westport. The town of Westport has several gift shops and lots of great places to eat. Highlights for food, Bennet's Fish Shack, Blackbeard's Brewery and The Blue Buoy! We also bought some great candy at Granny Hazel's Candy and Gifts Shop! When down at the marina looking at all of the boats we were invited onboard the F/V Robert Magnus! What a great weekend!
Property was clean and well stocked. Location right near beach was prefect. Long walks on the beach and trails made for a nice stay even if weather didn't cooperate..
The condo is well kept, well supplied, and comfortable. The problem was with Vacasa property management. I didnât receive the parking pass until the day of arrival after I had left my home and printer. Also, the fob required to use the amenities was missing from our room. I contacted the Vacasa helpline several times throughout our stay and after being on hold for extended periods of time, a âticketâ to remedy was created each time. No one ever contacted us. The local manager was supposed to be of help to us. The amenities that we were expecting and paid for were never available to us. Disappointed familyâŠ
My sister and Mom and I stayed at the property and had a wonderful time. The walk to the beach was not too far. The condo was nice and we would come again.
We did enjoy our stay..but did not ever have wi fi work properly all good as we spent most of the time on the beach. Also with dune restoration there was not the ocean view that was advertised.
