It is a beautful house. Location is stunning, looking over the RSPB nature reserve. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable.
The communication with Simon was in general excellent.
The house is about 15 mins walk from the local shingle beach and about 25 minutes walk from Weymouth.
Unfortunately, there were a number of issues that made the stay a little uncomfortable and frustrating.
The fully equipped kitchen has no dishwasher. One of the the 4 induction hobs did not work the entire week and finally the 3 hobs had very little power. The kitchen chairs were broken and we needed to ask for new ones. The 2 of the seats in the lounge were broken. The chair had a hasty repair job and the sofa leg kept bending inwards whenever someone sat on it - both dangerous. Neither bathroom had working locks. The shower head upstairs did not fit the holder and kept falling off while in use. There was only 1 hand towel for the whole house. There were no hooks in the house so we could not hang up towels to dry or hang up wet coats. We spoke with Simon about the issues and he was very responsive. He procured new chairs (arrived the next day). He repaired and placed new locks and brought new hooks for bed and bathrooms. However, the lounge seats, broken cooker and no dishwasher remained an issue, especially for my elderly parents. Hopefully these issues are resolved for the future. Check out time miscommunications also did not help the matter.
