this hotel was in a weird but also functional location. it was located at an outdoor shopping center so it was nice to have stores and restaurants that were in walking distance. leaving our rental car parked at a shopping center park was a bit scary. the room was decent and clean. it was a distinct smell of like mildew. we stayed 3 nights and it was 5 people and to once did they come give us fresh towels or take out our trash. they had free daily breakfast and it was honestly great, everyday was different.

Great hotel in the middle of a shopping mall. Convenient location. We needed something close to Fordham university and this was perfect only 17 minutes away. Clean and with very good customer service. The only con was that one of their elevators was down and we could only used one other. Family of four including adult kids. We will definitely stay here again.

The Hyatt Place was a good deal considering how expensive NYC area lodging is and very nice too boot. Pretty conveniently located, as well: two miles the Metro-North Rail or a bus ride to the NYC subway. It's built into the parking lot of an evolving mall, with plenty of amenities (if not the charm of a real city). Free breakfast was above average. Front desk staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Other employees were helpful and friendly as well. Some amenities and features are aging (the gym, the sliding bathroom door in our room), but overall the hotel is good shape and comfortable.
