The cabin is in a peaceful setting surrounded by trees. Cabin was clean and comfortable for our stay. The host provided an almond poppyseed bread and farm fresh eggs. It was a delightful stay.
We stayed for our 12-year anniversary and wanted to visit Cumberland Falls and the surrounding area. The cabin was absolutely perfect for the both of us. When we first walked in it smelled amazing and looked great, it was cute and cozy, and the owner left us some almond bread which was amazing and tasted so good. The cabin was known as Bears Den and there were so many cute little bears and ornaments we had a lot of fun counting the bears in each room.It was the perfect get-a-away and we will definitely love to book here again as there was so much more to see, it was perfect.
Cozy and exceptionally clean cabin. Conveniently located between Cumberland Falls and The Big South Fork Recreation Area, outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking, picnics are practically at your doorstep.
This was the perfect place for us. Husband and I came for a family reunion but wanted to spend a few extra days in the area and go to Cumberland Falls. This is in a very quiet peaceful area but also not far from some towns along Rt 27 and close to activities at the state park. The hosts were very accommodating and had everything we needed in the property for a comfortable stay.
Close to everything, including the Falls. We had a minor cleanliness issue the first night but it was quickly taken care of by the host. Would love to stay again.
It felt like a private get away here which was much needed! The cabin was decorated nicely and spacious. Would recommend to anyone who wants to unplug from the busy world and actually have a chance to breathe in peace and quiet.
It was nice stay, but bad weather forced us to leave early. The host was very understanding and very attentive. Wish Mother Nature would have been as nice.
This cabin had everything our family needed for a quick weekend getaway near Cumberland Falls. It was well kept and clean when we arrived. The location was very close to the falls and hiking options.
Got here the 1st day after dark. Had trouble seeing signs pointing directions. Driveway was extremely bumpy. Hard on my hemeroids. Besides that cabin very comfy, with most modern amenities
I am a single mom and I came to the bears den on my first trip ever away from my kids. When planning this trip originally I was looking for somewhere that was secluded but near the falls and this was the most perfect location. There was fresh banana bread (and nut free for the win because I am allergic) and even eggs. I ended up buying my own drinks but it was really convenient to be able to grab something and pay from the fridge. There isnât a tv in the cabin but I brought my projector and had 0 issues with the wifi (no cell service so the wifi was clutch). I felt safe being there myself, the water falls were a very short drive away and after my time visiting here I decided next time I want to bring my babies so they can get to have an experience just as good as mine! Thank you for having me !
The cabin was very clean and conveniently located. I would recommend bringing an eye make to sleep in the summer as one of the bedroom windows has no covering at all and the other one has a half curtain which made it very difficult for my husband and I to fall asleep. The bed itself wasn't the best, but I've definitely had to sleep on worse. Overall as long as you bring an eye mask I'd recommend this rental.
This was our second stay, and we love it here! The location is nice and removed, but still close enough should you need anything from town. Already thinking of our next visit.
We really enjoyed our stay, so much so that we have already booked our return! Itâs quiet and secluded, and was sparkling clean upon arrival. The cookies were a nice touch, and we loved meeting all their animals (including Annie!).
