Good representation that was accurate on VRBO. Easy quick contact with host. Liked having a kitchen. Not much happening around the neighborhood perhaps because itâs September, not was a short drive to Chelsea and Ann Arbor.
We stayed here for 3 days while a family member was at University of Michigan hospital. It suited our needs. It was pet friendly so could bring our Maincoon cat along with us. The area felt safe. I would recommend.
Overall enjoyable stay in a quaint little house in a quaint little town. Price accurately reflects the size and amenities. A couple small issues addressed with the host, who was immediately responsive. A for communication. Easy in and out. Only real issue was the large house water filter ran a cycle at 9p for an hour which made it not possible to go to bed. Host assured me they would address it for future tenants. Would reccommend for a single, a couple or maybe a couple with one child, just dont forget an air mattress!
Really nice cabin! We took a gamble as it does not list AC (and it ended up being 90 degrees when we were there!) but luckily there was a small window AC that worked wonderfully to cool the whole cabin down, so donât be concerned about a lack of central AC. My only critique it it had a mild smell of smoke however the cabin itself still gets 5 stars as I think the guest in the next attached cabin was smoking but that is not the fault of the property. No smoking is posted everywhere.
The cabin was recently repainted, white on the outside, pale blue on the inside. It had a pleasant bee theme. It was small, kitchen on one side of the main room and couch and TV on the other side. To use the air mattress, we did have to move the furniture around. The bedroom didnât have a door, so my husband and I moved one of the tension rods that had a curtain on it to the bedroom doorway and that was satisfactory. This is near the main street, so there were regular sounds of cars driving by and the water softening system could be loud, but ear plugs and an eye mask took care of those distractions. My husband and I are regular travelers,so we are used to supplying anything and everything we might need for a visit. The kitchen had skillets, mixing bowls, baking sheets⊠The stove had an oven. The refrigerator was 5 feet tall, small but complete. We were near to Brighton and Ann Arbor. Whitmore Lake also had a park for children and hiking right up the street, along with a disc golf course. If we had spent more time in Whitmore Lake, we may have taken advantage of the convenience store, and the small restaurants that were nearby. The lake was also right across the street, so we had a good view of that. We also took advantage of the fire pit that was in the front yard. A very nice little cabin. Iâm not sure you could fit four people in comfortably, but if youâre just going to sleep there, this will work. I would pick it again.
My wife and I visit Ann Arbor often, so this time we decided to stay in a neighboring area. This was our first trip to Whitmore Lake - it was a darling sleepy town that Iâm sure is teaming with life during the warmer months. The cottage is on a major road so if the door and windows are open it can get a bit noisy. But with door and windows closed it was perfectly quiet. The lake is across the street, but not sure where public access would be. It was a bit frosty for our visit. The cottage was perfect for the two of us and a little dog. Thereâs plenty of room and itâs cozy. Love the adorable bee theme. Clean and great for a few night get away. Easy drive to Ann Arbor! Is as listed - easy check in and check out.
