The William Creek Pub is absolutely iconic. The staff were awesome, the food was great and the rooms were great. The flight over Kati Thanda is a must do. And a huge special mention for a flat tyre repair. You guys are awesome!
Had some issues with the booking however the manager resolved the issue efficiently. Staff were slow with bookings and unsure if it was the process or lack of awareness, I suspect the process. Great service with everything else. Recommend the stay
Roads to hotel was completely closed and not accessible due to heavy rain the the region from the day before to the day after booking day. Several Calls to hotel during that period was not picked up. Hotels. Com evenly called several times for my request of cancellation due to road not accessible but no one picked up calls. Then Hotels. Com was not able to refund the payment made at the time of booking.
Basic clean tidy room. Toilet block was close with plenty of hot water and clean. My accomodation block was a long way from the pub and camp kitchen which may have contributed to a very peaceful night. I was very disappointed with my meal in the pub ( goat curry) very watery and only 4 pieces of meat with a little bowl of rice. Other meals looked ok Staff friendly
The crew at William Creek were super friendly and professional. Big thanks to Amanda, Rose and Jacob for their warm hospitality. The accommodation was comfortable and the pub full of character. Such a fantastic outback experience. Would definitely come back
The unit offered to us at the time of booking turned out to be part of a demountable with several units enclosed. The unit was so small it only fitted a double bed. No cupboard, bed side lamp or table. Small window was broken and not cleaned properly. Showers and toilets were external to the unit in another amenity block. We later found out that better units were available but not value for money. Some allowance should be made for their isolation. The camp kitchen was non existent. The hotel is iconic and served good meals in the restaurant.
I liked that this was typical outback australia and there were no superficial agendas.
The staff were very busy and you needed to find your own answers e.g. where to go for flights over lake eyre.
Needed to be more on top of food supplies and cleanliness of cutlery
We arrived (own aircraft) quite early. When we arrived at the hotel they could not find our Expedia Bookings. We had to show our sheet. Our self contained cabins had been given to a large well know tour company with lots more clout. A lot of stress as there is nowhere else in William Creek. We were eventually given 4 single "Dingo" Rooms which were very comfortable. Then when we went to go into the hotel for dinner that same tour company had completely reserved ALL the tables in the Dining Room. We managed to find an old plastic table and chairs in the veranda that had to have the red mud cleaned off them. We had a great night in the end but the management there and their computer system was obviously not working for them
amazing outback setting, very friendly and helpful stuff, very Aussie Pub đ
amenities are ok, but most toilet rooms/sinks didn't have soap :/
overall a very pleasant stay, would definitely come again!
Although the accommodation is very basic, it did the job. The staff at check in couldnât have been more helpful or friendly. Everyone at William Creek were great. A meal at the pub is a must.
