We had a great stay in this charming house - very clean and comfortable, convenient location, lovely touches throughout. Everything was easy, a perfect weekend getaway for our family of six!
We had a great stay, the newly renovated kitchen is gorgeous, the bathtub upstairs is huge. We slept well and had everything we needed. We shopped at Bergamot & Amor, had lunch at Sarducciâs in Montpelier & enjoyed the warmth of the pellet stove in the evenings.
I rented with my father and adult son to visit my other son and partner who live nearby. We were glad to find a dog-friendly home that was spacious, clean and well appointed to host a nice meal.for all. The location allowed us to be close enough to ski resorts as well as Montpelier and we snowshoed around the property as well.
Itâs very hard to review this property. When we discovered that the cleaner had not come at all, the owner was very communicative regarding possible solutions. She offered the cleaner for that night, but we had already started washing the sheets and towels and we had only a short amt. of time before going to sleep. She also offered the cleaner the next day, but we were only staying two nights and the first one was ruined by having to do housework ! The property listed the fireplace, but there wasnât one. I told her about that and she said she was going to look at the listing and adjust accordingly. A gym is listed, but itâs actually just two sets of light dumbbells and a yoga mat in the living room. Having said all that, we thought the property was very nice. The listing just has to be reflective of what is actually there. And Iâm sure the cleaner not showing up was a one off. She did say that she fired the cleaner. As an inconvenience, she gave us 100 back off of the 800 weekend to compensate for the issues. Overall, if the property was cleaned when we arrived and just the fireplace was missing, I would say we wouldâve had a very nice time.
Amazing remodel of a truly historic farmhouse. Great cooking kitchen, lots of space and located near the state capital, Montpelier.
Owners immediately responsive and great to work with!
We had a wonderful holiday in Vermont in this beautiful home.
We had a fantastic stay at this gorgeous property! The hostâs impeccable taste is evident in every small detail, making the space feel both luxurious and welcoming. The house is filled with high-tech appliances that add a touch of modern convenience, and the fenced-in backyard is perfect for relaxation and privacy.
The beautiful barn on the property is a unique feature that adds so much charm. The location is idealâclose to the capital and only about an hour from Burlington, Vermontâs most populated city. We couldnât have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this stunning home!

Lovely home, quiet location, accurately described online.
Our stay was short but very comfortable.
Bed in Master Bedroom & the 1st floor bed were soooo comfortable!!! Best night sleep in a long time! Thank you
We loved our stay at the Fogg Farmhouse! Easy to find, very clean, seamless check-in process. The kitchen was lovely and got lots of use, as did the beautiful upstairs bathroom with deep clawfoot tub. We were lucky enough to have perfect weather for porch coffee in the morning. Though the fenced yard was a little too "wild" for our young dog (there is access to the antique barn, as well as the space underneath the barn), we were able to utilize the nearby dog park in Barre so that he could run around! The stairs to the second floor are steep and a little bit slippery, as to be expected with a house of this age, but that's just something to note for anyone with mobility issues. This house has been lovingly updated and maintained, and staying here was a true pleasure!
This property was beautiful, it still had that old time feel but was beautifully remodeled and decorated. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The town was quiet and we enjoyed checking out the barn.
Loved our experience and our stay! Ali is great and answered all our questions promptly. Just a quick overnight - the house was just perfect for our visit!
The location is great, we able to have some fun hikes in the area and delicious food in Montpelier. In terms of the house itself, the kitchen is great, one of the upstairs bedrooms is very large and light filled And the upstairs bathroom with long tub is great. There are some aspects of the description of the property that were didnât meet our expectations. The barn is on one side of the fenced in yard and has openings to the bottom level of the barn. That level was full of loose boards with nails on them and our dogs immediately wanted to go in there. So we could not let our dogs go in the fenced in yard. We are trying to find the gym and it must be the yoga mat with two sets of hand weights.
Our stay was amazing....We needed a place to stay for a business trip but also wanted to bring our pup along for the fun....This old farmhouse has been updated with a beautiful kitchen, a pellet stove, a gorgeous clawfoot bath tub, a fenced in yard for the pup to run, and a large fridge (with android interface- which my boyfriend loved- I actually have no idea what that means...) yet still retained that 1850's feel with gorgeous original maple floors, tin ceilings, and hand hewn beams. Our bedroom was very comfortable- tons of pillows and a cozy bed (all the beds looked so cozy)! A Perfect place to stay with your family- larger than it it looks on the web- rooms are very big! We actually wished we had booked a longer stay- alas- next time! Thank you so much Allie- Perfect!
We stayed here for Norwich Univ graduation with family weekend of April 25-29. The location to the Univ was less then 20 mins. Which was a nice plus. The kitchen was perfect! We brought food, cooked and ate all our meals here. The size of the kitchen made this home perfect for us- itâs where our family always gathers. We did bring our own Keurig for coffee as weâre not Nespesso coffee drinkers- having this option there would have been nice.
Everything we needed was provided for the bedrooms and bathrooms; plenty of blankets, towels, shampoos, etc.
One important mention- the stairs to the 2nd floor are steep! This is a beautifully remodeled old farmhouse so expected, but still hard on the knees- and not appropriate for our elderly Mom. Very helpful to have a bedroom on the first floor
We would happily stay here again! The Host was always prompt when responding and the home was cozy. Thank you for sharing your home
