The property was clean, had easy parking, and was conveniently located next to Ark Encounter, so there was no need to drive there. The reason for the 4 stars on cleanliness is b/c our hallway needed to be vacuumed and never was during our stay. The room was clean, they passed the black-light test, but the mattress was terrible. The front desk staff was not the friendliest when we asked a question about dining options in the area, other than that, it was a decent place to stay for your Ark Encounter visit.

Family Vacation to the Ark Encounter

My family and I travelled from Tennessee to visit the Ark Encounter, and after a long and wonderful day, we were so thankful that the hotel was so close by. The front desk staff was so kind and welcoming, and room service was quick to respond to our texts. We really enjoyed the pool area after a hot day, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. I appreciated the many grab bars in the shower, because one of my sisters is handicapped and she felt safe. The breakfast bar the next morning was delicious with many varieties of foods, which was helpful for my other sister who has dietary restrictions. The seating area was comfy and easily accessible. Thank you so much to the Hampton Inn & Suites for making our family vacation comfortable and memorable. We will definitely recommend you to our friends in Tennessee!

Manager dissatisfaction

Terrible beginning. Had family traveling with us. They booked months before at same hotel. They went through hilton. Upon arriving, hotel called and canceled their reservations. manager on duty allowed for another person to take their room because of a group preference. That is unacceptable. So they canceled them and told them to drive down the road. Upon us asking for a refund to stay with them they said no they couldnt promise refunds. Plus i have 5 in family so suites last minute aren't always the easiest to get on holidays July 4th. So we were separated. Horrible to book months in advance to be told your room is cancelled and put us in unusual predicament. Started to ruin family trip. I am not mad at hotel.com. but makes me not want to book. again
