The property owner was friendly but he told me this was a good neighborhood and that heâs never had any issues however I pulled into the neighborhood made the block and immediately decided we would not be staying there. I messaged him told him we would not be checking in. I lost over 1000 but as a woman traveling alone I just was not comfortable tents and people on the side walks laying around on the side walks is a no for me .. I never entered the property so I canât speak to cleanliness or checkin process
First impression of the âhoodâ was scary. Unit is what appears to be part of a housing âproject â. But, we decided to go in and check it out before making any rash decisions. We were delighted to walk into a cute little town house with nice furniture, a huge TV ! This is a split level unit and not at all ADA/wheelchair accessible. Unit has downstairs living room, dining room and kitchen. Up a very narrow and steep staircase are 2 bedrooms and the only bathroom. Unit is clean and appears to be newly repainted. There is a basement with washer/dryer âall-in-one that, unfortunately does not work. We washed one load of clothes (we had to buy the detergent). All of my clothes turned blue! Plus the washer did not finish the cycle and the dryer did not dry the clothes. There is a small back patio, but we didnât spend any time there. We stayed the week and found the neighborhood to be quiet and folks were pleasant.. My greatest compliment is for the host! She contacted me almost immediately and thanked us for our booking. She even sent us a dried fruit basket!!! Wonderful hospitality and honest concern for our comfort! We ended up really enjoying our stay here. We would gladly book this place again when weâre visiting in the Wilmington area. I would rate this place a high 4!!!
