The hotel room was clean and furnished with everything that I needed. Very comfortable bed. They are under renovations at the moment, but it is still a very decent place to stay. My biggest comlaint was the staff at the front desk. Not very friendly, and one staff person actually used profanity to another employee across the room. For this reason I gave them a lower rating than I probably would have.

The horel is undergoing renovations. There was no hot water for aprox.20 min this morning in room 701. The front desk did offer for security to bring me a key to another room on the 7th floor to take a shower. The door was falling of the cabinet housing the in room safe . Other then that the stay was great.

We had two rooms. The hotel was undergoing renovation. One of the rooms was okay the other was not as there must have been a leak somewhere and some plaster fell down. The frot desk was made aware of it and while we were out all day the matter was not completely resolved. It only became resolved when a new room was insisted on. The service left a bit to be desired as well as each day we requested maid service and the room was only serviced once.

The entire building was under construction and the room was very poor quality. The lobby and other places had wall construction which was incomplete. The bedroom was outdated, had ceiling damage, dust in the curtains and lamps. Under the sink where the towels and washcloths were, the sink drain looked disgusting. The tile in the shower was chipped and the toilet seat needed to be updated. We got there at 3:20 and they didn’t have our rooms ready until 4:50. We were there for an event that started at 5pm. As a result, we were over an hour and 30 minutes late. The staff were very friendly but extremely overwhelmed as they had 4 events that evening and a lot upset people who couldn’t check in.

My wife and I had booked a room nearly a month in advance to stay the night after attending a wedding. When we arrived to check in at 3 PM, we were told that they didn't have any rooms ready yet and that we would be able to check in later in the night when the wedding was over. When we returned to the hotel that night, we were told that all of the rooms had been filled and we wouldn't be able to stay. The staff was extremely rude throughout the ordeal and completely dismissive of the massive inconvenience that this had called. We were told that this "just happens sometimes", and the staff acted as if it was absurd for us to be frustrated by the situation. By the time it was determined that we would absolutely not be able to stay, it was almost Midnight. Rather than be stranded in Wilmington, my wife and I made the two hour drive home. While we were dealing with this situation, there was a line of guests behind us who were also having problems getting into there rooms. I am usually a very understanding person and always try to acknowledge that it's not the fault of the employee, but to have this major of an inconvenience be met with absolutely no sympathy by the woman behind the desk who claimed to be in charge of the hotel was a first for me.

The place isn’t ready to have guests. Hilton is actually still building this hotel. I had no idea of this before I made arrangements. Parking was $11 extra a day, parking in a city parking lot next door. Staff was ok. But we asked for the room to be cleaned and it wasn’t. Hilton charges way too much for an incomplete hotel that cannot even provide the necessary cleaning service and still charges for parking. At this point I would think twice before staying at another Hilton hotel.
