Perfect place to stay. We stayed with our infant daughter for the weekend to find a place to live as we are relocating to Wilmington. Having never visited Wilmington, this was the perfect spot to access downtown, riverwalk and experience many fabulous restaurants. We loved being able to cook small things like breakfast and really enjoyed the patio!
Property is clean and well maintained. Location makes it conveniently located to the Historic District and has a great view of the river and USS Carolina from the balcony.
Our stay was fine. The check-in process and communication with the condo manager was good. The condo was not exactly as listed. It does not have a full kitchen, its just a kitchenette. No stove. Some signs of wear and tear (towels/balcony door shears) and bathroom knobs missing. There are no light blocking curtains/shades on balcony windows or doors. This is where additional guest sleep. The sofa bed was not comfortable, but there is a nice air mattress to use if more than 2 quests. The bedroom contains the air condition/heat source in the wall. Everytime the AC came on, the air handler was very loud. If you are a light sleeper it will impact your sleep. The unit was undersized for the condo, so it ran most of the time. We did not receive the full check out instructions until after we had left. And it would be nice to have one of the onsite parking spaces included with the stay instead of having to use the parking garage 2 blocks away. Overall, it met our needs for the weekend. But I would not stay again.
Sleeping next to a jet engine called a broken air conditioning
Parking was a block and 1/2 away unless you paid 100.00 for vip parking. This was not advertised on website. We left days earlier because we were so sleep deprived from sleeping next to the loudest air conditioner ever! Absolutely by far the worst place we ever stayed. Wouldnât stay there even for free .
We came to Wilmington to visit family and have stayed in this area before and loved it. This was no different and the price was great as well! Very clean with a nice view. Super convenient to a lot of place to eat and see entertainment.
We came for a concert, it ended up getting rained out. We enjoyed the balcony and the fact it was by the water and close to everything. Our bed was really hard though and we didnât sleep well. Other than that it was great!
Perfect spot in downtown wilmy. Manager was very easy to work with and super accommodating. It was comfortable and perfect for a short stay. I would happily book there again.
We had a wonderful stay. The condo is in an awesome location. Walking distance to everything. The host was always available with any questions we had. Highly recommend.
We picked this property because we were vendors at a local park a mile away and wanted to stay somewhere convenient close by. We had great communication with the owner/property manager. The door lock was a little hard to figure out at first, but after a few times we figured it out. We had everything we needed for our trip. One suggestion, is to have a sturdy step stool to be able to reach the cups and plates on a top shelf, lucky my husband is tall. We enjoyed the patio and the view of the US North Carolina. It was great for people watching as it was St. Paddy's Day Weekend. Which brings me to my only compliant about the parking for this property. It is off site parking a few blocks away in a public deck. Great if you just want to park your car for the weekend and enjoy the walkable area. But for us we had to off load our products then park, then walk back to the car to load up the next day and we got stuck in parade closures. We would like to stay here again but not if we are doing a festival. We just needed something a little more convenient for us and be mindful of events that could close the streets around the property.
Overall, this property was nice and located near lots of restaurants and the River Walk. We were directly across from the battleship, so the nighttime picture in the pictures of the property did not look like our view. Check-in was OK, but somewhat confusing as the pictures showed a lockbox but we did not need one. I was messaging with one person and speaking with a difference person by phone and getting conflicting information. The light over the stove needs to be replaced, it's quite dim. If you plan on having anything to drink, bring or buy ice, there was one ice tray in freezer. We walked down to the DGX and they luckily sold ice.Wilmington is a nice place to visit and we may return.
The property is in a good location. Definitely walking distance to shopping and eating. Great views from the balcony. Had evsrything we needed for a short stay The bed could be more comfortable. The room isn't large enough for a king size bed so the queen was fine. But, the mattress was on a simple metal frame and we both woke with sore backs each morning. I also like oversized fluffy comfortors and there were no extra blanket options in the room. The one bedspread was it and wasnt really large enough for 2 people to wrap up in. There is a bar on the other side of the parking lot from the room that played loud music both Friday and Saturday night. It kept us both awake late into the night. Otherwise, the condo was decorated nicely and is directly across from the battleship. Could potentially catch amazing sunsets from the balcony. Perfect for 1 or 2 people. Not more.
Great location, walking distance to downtown and everything.
The biggest issue here was the bed. It was the hardest and most uncomfortable bed we ever slept in, woke up in pain and tired due to little sleep. Decided not to stay second night due to the bed.
The apartment was very nice, clean and what what we expected from the pictures. We knew ahead of time that we had to park almost 2 blocks away in a parking garage but didn't realize how much of a pain that would be. If you are planning on not using your car and walking everywhere then you'll be fine. We used our car often. It would have been nice if we could have just parked right by the apartment. Upon arrival, even after reading the instructions on how to get in we could not. I had to call the owner and he electronically let us in. We could not use the keypad and had to take the key with us which was not a problem. The door did not seal great and let a lot of light and air into the apartment. The air conditioner in the bedroom was so loud. The view from the balcony was beautiful, we spend most of our time out there on the little wicker couch. The bathroom was huge and was very clean. Overall it was a very nice place but I would prefer my car to not be so far away.
