We were only able to stay at this property for less than 24 hours. After one night, we noticed water leaking from the water heater. We contacted the maintenance person, who came out immediately, and were told we needed to leave within an hour so he could begin repairs. We had to pack not only our belongings, but the purchased food we had for the long weekend. It was too late to drive home, so we had to pay for another night in a hotel. Obviously some of the perishable food was lost due to the travel. We have asked for a refund of the additional days we were not able to have at the property, but have not received any communication or refund. Since this was not a cancellation on our part, we should be entitled to a refund. We understand things happen in homes, and this was not the owners' fault, but they should at least refund our stay since we were not able to remain on property, and incurred additional costs.
