I reached out to try to communicate with the property owner and got no response. When we got off the train, it was pouring rain and it was too early to check in. I was trying to find out if I could store my bags or check in early, but nobody responded. I communicated first thing in the morning and it was several hours until I arrived in town. I ended up ducking into the first restaurant I could find to stay out of the rain, and had a meal I would not have chosen to eat otherwise.
The entire room smells strongly of carpet powder or something like that. I think it is trying to mask the odor of dampness or something, but it really is overpowering.
The property is in a good location.
The room was very clean and the house was in a really good location (very close to everything in Windermere). The owners of the property were also very nice!
Lovely people they made us very welcome. Everything perfect and in a great position. The only negatve I have is that the shower is very small with not much room to manoeuvre it would be a problem if youre on the large side.
Tracy and Trace were very welcoming when we arrived and took time to tell us all about the local area, suggest walks for us and answer any questions we had. The rooms we warm, clean and cosy which was especially nice after having been caught out in the rain on one day and there were home made cakes everyday for you to tuck into after a day out.
Overall we had a great weekend; TnT were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The guesthouse is in a great location, right in the middle of Windermere Town and a 20 minute walk down to Bowness.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. Tracâe and Tracey have a wealth of knowledge about the area, where to go and where to eat etc and because of this they will help you have the best stay.
the B&B itself is very clean and tidy and very welcoming. The breakfast is top class and cooked personally for you, there are also cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit etc..
The little added extras lifts the place above most places we have stayed in. Cake at 16.00, jellybeans makes you just smile.
We arrived as customers and left feeling like old friends and we will definitely be back.
The room is not big but very cosy and clean. Staff members are super friendly and thoughtful. We got very useful travel advice from them. Breakfast was really good, well worth the money! The guest house location is great, close to a lot restaurants and local Sainsbury and Co-op.
Very friendly owners. So helpful. Cakes and sweets waiting for guests in reception. Extremely clean and well kitted out room. Nice view of the snowy mountains from the top floor bedroom. Only thing I would say is the suite is on the small side. But other than that a fabulous place to stay. 1.5miles walk down to Bowness. Supermarket just down the ro
