This hotel has the location to be outstanding, but is sadly in dire need of major renovation.
Threadbare carpets on the stairs, very dated fixtures and fittings, curtains ripped - it was a huge disappointment, because the view of the Castle and location is perfect. Having said that the hotel was very clean, good quality towels ⊠please please renovate and it will be perfect!!
The heating in the room was broken, apparently someone was meant to look at it but they didn't. We ended up wih 2 heaters on wheels to keep the room warm. The wall lights in the bathroom didn't turn on. The shower water was cold, just about warm enough to have a quick wash but I couldnhavr washed my hair. The room itself was very large which was great but and good view of the castle but needed some serious updating. I believet they are trading on the fact they are near to the castle. Can't get through to anyone there via phone. No milk or tea bags in the room so had to ask reception onboth days.
Room was in desperate need of renovating, windows wobbling loudly all night from the wind, tap in bath is in an awkward place, bath plug broken and looks like someone had siliconed fittings and skirting with a spoon.
Very disappointed. Would not stay here again
The room was ok a nice, but this morning there was no hot water in my sink taps nor my shower which is annoying as i was goin to a wedding! I told the nice lady at reception but there was no other rooms available to have a shower in as it was fully booked! This is not good enough im sorry but i think i should be entitled to a free stay thanks
The hotel was ok as long as you donât spend too much time in it. It is in a great location across from Windsor castle and my expectations were high. As soon as I walked into the poor reception area my expectations diminished.
The room was large but cold, the shower had one temperature, luke warm. The whole hotel was tired and in need of some TLC.
We had 3 coffee sachets in the room, no teabags, no decaf coffee. The tv only showed BBC channels.
Great location right opposite the castle and near lots of pubs and restaurants. Good value for money. Clean room and good size.
No tea bags in the room and there was quite a lot of noise outside my window until 3am but it is the centre of town and it was a Saturday night so to be expected.
Staff were very pleasant ⊠but no amenities âŠ. ( sorry we did have a kettle a small amount of tea ⊠1 tea bag ..coffee milk and a tiny bit of sugar )Rooms are in a poor state with mould round windows ⊠peeling paint shabby curtains.
