Had a large group. Three families with teenagers. Everyone was happy and had enough space to be together or take a little space. My sister joked that the kitchen was more equipped than her own. Highly recommend.
The house was perfect for our family of 10! It is close to Winter Park and was perfect size for everyone to stay comfortably. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. The hot tub was also well-maintained. The property managers were responsive and flexible with our requests. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!
Met brothers from all over the US to have a memorial for our father and go trout fishing. Property was clean, comfortable and roomy. Easily accommodated the 9 adults in our group .Groceries and restaurants both very near by
The property is beautiful and accomodating for our family gathering. It has enough privacy but at the same time it is not completley cut off from the town or stores for basic amenities. We even go to spot some elks one morning. The tub between the trees at night staring the starry sky was a nice experience as well. Only thing was the wifi was not working for the entire stay as it was weekend the customer service was not effective/available either to get it sorted. As a courtesy the host/management allowed us for a late checkout because of that. That was kind but wished we had the internet avaialble with multiple toddlers and kids in the cabin.
They changed our reservation......and it was incredible
Right before we left for our trip, I received a call from the property manager that this house was no longer available. After I re-swallowed my heart, she explained that the previous guest(s) did extensive damage to the home and they were not comfortable with us staying there. She went on to explain that they would be providing another location that was a bit of an upgrade at no additional charge. Fantastic gesture on their part and we absolutely loved it. I am quite sure this house would have suited our needs but the upgrade was very much appreciated and was amazing. The views were breath taking and the house itself was nothing short of perfect for 2 families of 4. Since we did not get to stay at the house we originally booked, this review is more about the hosts and their management team.....10 stars out of 5. Thank you so much for making our ski vacation a truly enjoyable memory!
We stayed here March 26-April 1. Our group was two families with kids ranging from 1-9 years old. The house is clean and well-equipped, the bedrooms are comfortable, and everything is in great condition. Also we were all obsessed with the big cozy couch in the main family room. We loved the hot tub and it was so convenient to have use of the two car garage. We will definitely be back!
Phenomenal stay start to finish. Owners were extremely communitive prepping us for checkin/out which was great. The house itself is gorgeous and perfect for a large group like ours. Very spacious and stocked with plenty of towels, and kitchenware which is great. Hot tub was perfect for the cold weather. Cant beat a 10 minute drive to the slopes either. Great stay!
Spent the weekend with friends and family at this house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clean and everything was presented in listing. Property Manager communicated extremely well before and after our stay. We will definitely be back.
Large kitchen was great for a large group. Four wheel drive was a must with all the snow. We had three vehicles and it was great to be able to park two in the garage. Very nice and clean. Hot tub was great after a day of skiing.
This house was perfect!! It was in the perfect locationâŠclose to the slopes, shops and grocery store. The house was clean and perfect for all 13 of us. Would definitely stay here again.
Pictures did not reflect true size of rooms or current furnishings. We were comfortable for 7 people, but hard to imagine 14 people being comfortable. Hot tub small. Gas fireplace was not working and needed maintenance to fix it. View from deck of fall foliage beautiful and able to view deer and fox
Arrived to a strong natural gas smell as soon as we walked in. Gas company came out, identified the leak and because of the severity, had to completely shut off the main gas line to the home and evacuate. This also meant only hot water that was in the tank, no stove, oven, etc. until it was fixed. Management sent someone next day to repair and overall, it wasnât too inconvenient. However, disappointed that management never contacted us even though we were told they would and had to stay that first night there after airing out the smell as they said they did not have alternate accommodations for us.
When I contacted the management company after returning from our trip they graciously offered to refund half our stay, although we never did receive that correct amount and it took nearly two months and numerous follow ups on my part.
They claim the house was inspected prior to arrival but if that was the case someone would/should have noticed the strong smell and done something about it. We requested to check in about an hour or two earlier than the listed time but were denied. We ended up arriving right at check in time so if it was inspected earlier and the leak occurred after the inspection then why werenât we granted the early check in we requested?
There were also cigarette butts all over the yard and no grilling utensils.
Good potential but poorly managed. They also offered us a discount on a future stay at one of their properties but weâre not likely to take them up on this offer. Disappointing.
Upsides: This is a great location to enjoy what Winter Park has to offer in a single family home (not a condo). Fifteen minutes to winter park resorts with great restaurants and Safeway nearby for all your needs. The hot tub was a hit with our kids, and well maintained and also in view of the upstairs porch for lifeguarding. There was a good amount of space for our extended family of 8 and 2 dogs. Rooms were as advertised.
Downsides: one bed had a large clump of hair from a prior guest which was just gross. That said everything else was very clean so wasn't a deal breaker. The neighbors have very bright flood lights that prevent any sort of night sky watching or sleeping with the mountains in view-- we realized this is why the primary bedroom window is blocked by the headboard -- blocking the light and the view from that room. Additionally, the seating is very uncomfortable. Both couches are so collapsed my 75 year old parents struggled with comfort and getting in and out. I think the springs are out both upstairs and downstairs. The dining room chairs are small and metal, also not comfortable. Last criticism for summer guests to know is that the afternoon sun pours in the dining room making it too bright or hot to enjoy evening meals together. There were no curtains or options to block this sun and heat-- we ended up eating picnic style in the living room because it was just too hot to sit at the table for dinner.
All that said we did like the location and the upstairs layout was good for family time. The kids could play downstairs without bugging the adults. And we saw a moose wander though the back yard so that was a highlight for sure!
Wonderful & ample space for a mini family reunion of 12. .
Kitchen very well outfitted & more than enough space in the home for for our family of 12. This beautiful house is located away from town but close enough to access in minutes. Recommed highly!
