Stayed here for a 2 night break. Friendly welcome and a lovely room (The Hayloft). Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and cereal to start and a nice home cooked breakfast. Great touch with having a toaster on the table to toast the delicious bread and enjoy the marmalade. Breakfast was efficient with no waiting. Liz and John have a delightful place for a stay.
Liz and John are very profitable people the breakfast was really good , table layout is well good you have everything at your finger tips ,will return there
Situated just off the main road (A1120), this proved to be a homely and relaxing place to stay, within easy reach of the Suffolk coast around Dunwich. Clearly signposted, with ample car parking, a wholesome farmhouse breakfast and a lovely quiet garden, this was a real home from home. I took the single room in the old stable. This was neat, clean and cosy and had its own en suite with a powerful hot shower. Well recommended!
Stayed in the Squires room. You have to go up several narrow steps to get to the room but once there itâs lovely and clean, bed comfortable, just the right size. Breakfast was freshly cooked each morning, comes with cereal, fresh fruit and toast. Only downfall was some cereal or sauces were out of date. Made the owners aware as they may not have known. Iâm sure all will be put right and Iâd like to say we would stay again.
The owners are VERY UNFRIENDLY and have a shockingly UNCARING attitude to their guests.
I was stranded in a flooded road only 3 minutes away from their hotel and the owners did nothing to help me, a female traveller on my own. The lack of care and lack of communication was utterly appalling. So upset I had the misfortune to book up this hotel.
Absolutely wonderful place to stay, rooms spacious, beautifully decorated and clean, very nice breakfast and the staff are very friendly, nice quiet remote location with some lovely views
Enjoyed our stay. The room in The Hay Loft was perfect. Very clean with everything we needed. Delicious breakfast. John and Liz were the perfect hosts. We shall definitely return.
Very clean comfortable accommodation in a quiet and tranquil location. The owners have paid a lot of attention to detail. Some very nice touches around the place. Breakfast is a great feast.
situated in lovely peaceful grounds, owners are nice and welcoming and property is beautiful, rooms, bed and shower facilties clean and in good order.
I would highly recommend it to work travellers for a night or two, very relaxing, peaceful and natural space.
We stayed in the Little Maid's Room for just one night. Very comfortable room, with low ceilings and sloping floor - typical of the period (16th century!).
The stairs up to this room are very steep - not a problem for us but would be for many, so worth checking access.
Low ceilings meant that it has a bath but no shower.
Breakfast was "full English" - just what you need to set you up for the day. Great location to explore Suffolk!
