The perfect hotel!

We had the most amazing time! The position of the hotel couldn’t have been more perfect, only a short walk from the train station and is opposite the train to the lifts on Sunnegga. We had a rental place next door which we received 10% discount from the owner of the hotel and they helped us sort a snowboarding lesson for the next day. The family running the hotel are so so lovely and the room was gorgeous and clean and warm. Also the bar and restaurant downstairs is amazing. Will definitely be back!

Love this place so much! It was so beautiful esp the chalet style. It was a great price for the room size and view. We got to see Matterhorn from our balcony! Location is convenient as you can ride the free bus from the corner. We plan to stay here again when we back. Our only wish is an elevator.

We recently stayed at Hotel - Steakhouse Cheminée in Zermatt for two nights as a family of four, and our experience was wonderful. The location is very convenient—it’s just a 5-7 minute walk from the train stations and directly opposite the Rothorn cable car. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was very good that included hot egg options. Hotel doesn't have a lift but the staff offered to carry our luggage to our rooms. Found the staff very helpful and friendly - both at front desk and restaurant. Overall, a perfect base for a stay in Zermatt offering good value, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing stay in the middle of Zermatt!

We can only recommend this hotel. The room was very clean and spacious for the 4 of us. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was great. The breakfast was fresh and delicious with everything you need for a continental breakfast! The owners/staff were really friendly and helpful! Amazing value for the money we paid!

Great 2 day base to explore the Matterhorn

Our family was staying in Zermatt for 2 nights to trek the Matterhorn. Great location, very short walk to the stations and centre of town. Good size room for a family and a balcony with views of the mountain. What more do you want.

Close to Zermatt station, train to Gornergrat, and right across from the funicular to Rothorn, but a bit far from the cable car up to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Facilities are aging but adequate. Note that the shower/tub can be a hazard for older or less-agile folks to get in and out of. River can be loud enough to disturb sleep, but on a hot night you’ll have to leave the windows open.
