"Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, aber kann nicht über den heruntergekommenen Zustand der Räume hinwegtäuschen. Nachdem das erste, angebotene Zimmer nach Rauch und Marihuana geradezu gestunken hat, hat man uns ein zweites Zimmer angeboten bei dem der Rauchgestank nicht ganz so schlimm war. Dafür konnten wir dann, nachdem wir unsere Schuhe ausgezogen hatten feststellen, dass der Teppichboden irgendwie gereinigt wurde und völlig durchnässt war. Nach zwei Tagen war der Boden dann begehbar trocken, aber das Zimmer hat immer nach Rauch gerochen – auch nach einer Woche Aufenthalt und vielem Lüften. Es gab überall Brandflecken auf dem Teppich, der Halter für das Toilettenpapier war lose und es gab keine Haken für Handtücher, sondern nur Schrauben in der Tür und überall hat man mit etwas Farbe die gröbsten Stellen an der Wand ausgebessert. Insgesamt war der Raum nicht gepflegt, die Gardinen und Vorhänge dreckig und zum Teil zerrissen, und anstatt den Teppich zu wässern wäre eine feuchte Grundreinigung nötig, denn weisse Socken wurden sehr schnell schwarz, wenn man Barfuss über den Teppich lief.
Ein Fernsehprogramm wird vielleicht mit ROKU zur verfügung gestellt – also regionale Sender sind grundsätzlich nicht zu empfangen. Unser ROKU hatte ein Firmware Update und benötigte dann mehr Strom als der USB des Fernsehers zu verfügung stellte, und Fernsehen ging also überhaupt nicht. SONESTA ist nicht Eigentümer oder Betreiber des Hotels und es bleibt viel zu verbessern. "
