The room was immaculate, felt recently renovated and quite current. It was to the rear of the hotel and very quiet even though the hotel sits on the main road through Oban. The Royal Hotel
Room was clean, bathroom very small making difficult for my wife who has mobility issue. Stairs had threadbare carpet and ground floor reception area very basic and not particularly inviting. Dining staff member was helpful and did his best for us. It was a bed for night.

The location is okay, however the hotel is old and in very bad condition. The room they gave me at first had a huge window in the bathroom and no shades, also the curtain shower did not close properly and there was a ball of hair in the corner of the bathroom floor: nasty, horrible, disgusting, unacceptable. ...
