Great location and very beautiful Loch Maree view from the rooms. Comfortable and cozy hotel with interesting heritage. Very hospitable and friendly staff. Duncan is a great host and makes one feel right at home. Highly recommend.
The view was truly outstanding- the room really comfortable and food delicious. The No coffee or marmalade at breakfast and no water in basin bath or loo in the morning which Iâm sure they were trying to fix.
My friend and I stayed at Loch Maree Hotel for a night before we went over to the Isle of Skye and our experience was amazing! Duncan was so sweet and funny and made the stay memorable. The views of the lake are beautiful and everyone else staying at the hotel were friendly and loved to chat. The food was delicious, we had dinner and breakfast - both great. I wish we could have stayed longer! Next time I'll have to bring a boat that's not filled with water to explore the lake.
This is essentially a B&B being labelled as a hotel.
Staff were thin on the ground, but the food was fine.
The family room was disappointing with no proper shower facility and tired decor.
It was a last minute booking for us to escape storm Floris and we're so pleased we found this place. Wonderful views from the room and fantastic food. We had haggis to start (which wasn't on the menu but they did it for us anyway) and Sea Bass and Lamb Shank which were both excellent.
Brilliant accommodation was well maintained and tastefully presented. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and the deers in the gardens a pleasant surprise
We stayed here on our NC500 cycling trip. It was an oasis in this remote part of Scotland. Dinner and breakfast were great and the room was comfortable and of a high standard.
Manager is amazing!!! Indeed heâs undoubtedly the best thing about the hotel and it was lovely to meet him. He worked tirelessly to ensure everyone had everything they needed from reception to bar to maintenance! Great sense of humor, a real asset! However the hotel itself is in dire need of updating!
The food was good and the atmosphere lovely. But the shower was very frugal with the water, the bathroom tiny and the room compact. It just needs a bit of tlc and money spent on it to turn it into a true gem.
Really lovely hotel with cosy lounge with open fire-perfect venue for colder autumn nights. Room was lovely and everywhere seemed freshly painted. Food was good with large portions. Beautiful view and well worth staying for a few days. Very much the Victorian country house hotel.
A beautiful hotel with grand high ceilings and an eccentric historical townhouse charm. Perfectly located right on the shore of Loch Maree, with private lake access. Our room was peaceful and quiet, offering breathtaking views of the lake. The host was exceptionally friendly, warm and accommodating, adding a welcoming atmosphere to both the hotel and its cosy bar. He went out of his way to meet our requests, making us feel truly cared for. Easily our best experience on the NC500.
