Perfect place to call home

We were 6 adults and 2 children who had wonderful space to be together and have time apart in this home. The beaches in the area were disappointing because of the seaweed problem but we found cenotes and beaches in Tulum. We also loved having our own pool in a private bit of the jungle.

Family Vacation

We can't say enough awesome about this beautiful property and home. We stayed here with our family for a Christmas and New Year vacation. Everything was perfect!! Wilma cooked several meals for us and everyone enjoyed her delicious meals. The house is spotless, roomy enough for a family of ten. We would definitely go back again. Everyone was always quick to answer any questions that came up.

The location is beautiful, the house was beautiful and extremely comfortable. It accommodated our family of 8. Anytime we asked for recommendations, we were given them. We enjoyed a private chef, daily house keeping. The pool was warm, the house is heavily supplied with everything you need. Towels , blankets, dishes, pots and pans. No stone was left unturned . Wear lots of mosquito spray, the house is nested in the jungle. You also see really tiny lizards throughout the home. Nothing that is too troublesome. Nevertheless I would definitely stay again.

Everything we hoped for!!!!

Let me first say that I am BEYOND particular...I can own up to that...I am very picky about most everything! That being said...this vacation home is absolutely wonderful! The owner is the queen of organization and has gone out of her way to ensure that things within the home are very easy to locate and use...from labels to manuals...you will find it easy to make yourself at home. The home is stocked with towels...bath and beach...and they are very good quality...better than you will find in any hotel! Wilma, the housekeeper did a SUPERB job of keeping the house clean throughout our stay...and she is very sweet! Victor did a great job of keeping the grounds/jungle well tamed :-) We saw spider monkeys on two occassions...even caught a couple of them trying to steal a chair off of one of the bedroom patios (mischievious little fellows)! My children, aged 6 and 10 LOVED...LOVED..LOVED the pool, it was the perfect depth for them to play in all day long. I absolutely loved my stay. The house was spacious enough to accomodate my party of 7 adults and 2 children. We never felt crowded! Things I would improve: new window screens. Many of them are torn which means you leave the windows open for a fresh breeze at the risk of letting bugs and other little critters inside. We also experienced very short (30-40 minutes) power outages every day. It wasn't a big problem...but it was unexpected. Overall, I was definitely pleased with the home...the pictures are a TRUE REFLECTION of the current condition of the home...if you pick this house...you won't be dissatisfied!!!! Thank you Nadya for a great vacation!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were originally given the wrong code for the lock box so we couldn’t get in the house. We tried calling the property manager, but there was no answer. After about 20 minutes of making phone calls, we were finally able to get ahold of someone. He had the property manager return our phone call so that we could get the correct code. Overall, the house was fairly clean. Our only issue related to cleanliness was in the bunk bed room. The comforters on both top bunks were covered in dust. We took the comforters off the beds, but one of our kids ended up having allergy issues. We hoped to take the golf cart out one evening, but we couldn’t find the keys. The sign in the garage says the keys are in the laundry room, but the laundry room is kept locked. When we asked the property manager about the keys, we were informed via email that the golf cart is no longer available to guests. This contradicts what was stated in the home description as well as what is on the sign in the garage. There are 5 bikes, but we could only use 4 because one bike had flat tires. On the plus side, we were able to see monkeys during our walk around the area. The electricity went out one day during our stay for approx. 8 hours. I realize this may be out of the property owner’s control, but a few battery operated fans and more candles would have been nice. We only had 4 candles, the house was hot, and a lot of our food ended up ruining. The laundry room is not available to guests, but a housekeeper comes daily. We paid her to do our laundry the day before we left and my husband’s shorts along with my nephew’s shirt was stolen. We’ve stayed in a few houses in Cancun over the past several years. This was certainly the worst experience we’ve had with a vacation home. The pool was the only amenity that we truly enjoyed.

From the booking through the end of our stay, communication was flawless; we were given all the information and recommendations we needed and more! The house was beautiful, private, well-kept, spacious, and better in person than in pictures. We loved the daily caretaking, meals cooked in the home for us, the private pool, the air conditioning, and noticed many extras provided by our hosts. We couldn't have asked for a better situation.

Excellent House for 2 families with kids

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing stay at Casa La Via! We were 2 families (4 adults and 6 young kids) and the house worked perfect for us. The kids played in the pool non-stop and we enjoyed relaxing poolside. Rhett, the property manager, was very accomodating and easy to work with. There is a groundskeeper and housekeeper that did an excellent job maintaining the property daily. The house is very well set-up and well-stocked with everything we needed. There was an issue with the pool heater while we were there, but Rhett worked hard to try to get it fixed during our stay and even refunded us the fee for the heated pool. Akumal is a very fun area that is close to great beaches/snorkeling and amazing cenotes. The drive to Tulum is not far and we enjoyed taking a morning to explore the Ruins and beaches at Tulum. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone.

We had Wilma make dinner for us one evening and she’s great. We enjoyed our time at the house. It’s a bit remote so renting a car would be advised. We didn’t rent a car and spent a fortune in taxis (they’re very expensive!). We had 8 ppl and it was $80+ RT to go to a restaurant 2 miles away. It was over $200RT to go to Tulum for dinner which was a great place to spend the day/evening. Overall a wonderful trip and a nice house but if we were to return, we’d definitely rent a car.

The house was clean and had all the amenities we could ask for. The management company was also very responsive. Wilma the housekeeper is one of a kind. She is absolutely amazing and cooked dinner for us a few nights. Every meal was excellent. We went to the resort for a day and it was fun. We took a catamaran/snorkeling trip that the management company set up and it was amazing. We explored Tulum for a day and saw the beautiful ruins. It was overall a fabulous trip. We were 5 adults and 4 kids.

Perfect trip hosted by a perfect property.

A group of 9 of us went down in March and had a fantastic trip starting off with great commutation from the host. We weren't the easiest group with having to be Covid tested for an event we were attending after check-out. Not only did they assist with setting us up with references for testing but also transportation for all 9 of us to the event. As for the House, it was perfect, from the pool (temp too) to wifi, amenities, and golf cart to the beach is so clutch! The real selling point is Wilma and her son. They must be protected at all costs. Get her Mole! The best part of the house was the location, with us having to be somewhat isolated we could pick and choose when we wanted to be around others or just with our group. We had a blast popping in and out of Akumal and Tulum! Thank you for a perfect vacation - see you in 2023

Incredible Friend Reunion in Akumal

I can't speak highly enough of this place and the wonderful people who maintain it and made our stay feel like a second home. Wilma and her son are superstars, and the groundskeeper whose name escapes me was also very kind and helpful. The pictures don't do this property justice. We had such a blast, we felt like we were in good hands, and we were very close to all the things we wanted to enjoy during our stay. The property managers were very helpful setting us up with activities and a day pass at the resort, as well. Just the perfect week! Muchas gracias!

Paradise

We were a group of 7 long time friends on a much needed girls get away. We celebrated 2 40 year old birthdays and were treated to an amazing week at Casa La Via! The staff was amazing- Luis and Wilma made us feel so comfortable and Reece, the night time security guard, ensured that we felt safe . The villa was perfect- and the roof top deck was the perfect place to see the stars that were out in full effect. We loved having all the amenities of Sirenis as we paid for one all inclusive day. We had an amazing day at Playa de Tortuga (The Residents beach) that was an absolute gem to set up with beach chairs, umbrellas, and a cooler- supplied by Casa La Via. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and had so many great tips from the host, Nadya! Huge Thank You to all who made this trip so perfect!

We really have a blast at Nadya place The house is very comfortable and the pool is awesome We loved all the staff members as they were very helpful and always with a smile We also had the chance to have the iguana hanging out with us at the pool everyday I would recommend this place to anyone that want a beautiful villa in the area . Great vacation in an amazing property

We enjoyed eight wonderful days at Casa La Via. The booking was a great experience from beginning to end. Nadya provided a lot of useful information before we even left on our vacation, allowing us to plan most of our day trips way in advance. The property itself is exactly as the pictures show, enough room for everyone and an pool that invites to relax. The area has a lot of things to offer, a rental car is a must though in my opinion. The Xpu-ha Beach Club and Cenote Azul are just a short drive away and well worth a trip. For sight seeing there is Tulum and Coba that can easily be done in a day trip. But even within the resort there are plenty of activities, for instance the secluded lagoon for snorkeling is within a short walking distance along the beach. And everyone in our group enjoyed Wilma's cooking, we had grilled chicken and cochinita pibil. The food was an absolute delight. Wilma and Luis ensured that everything was in tip top condition so we were able to enjoy a worry free vacation. We had an excellent experience.

Great stay

Our stay was incredible. Nadya is very, very helpful. She offered recommendations, quickly replied to questions and made sure the accommodations were fabulous. The home is beautiful. We celebrated my mom’s birthday, and there was plenty of space for 7 adults. Wilma’s cooking is fabulous, too. I highly recommend a meal from her. We had a wonderful vacation experience.

Amazing house, great location!

Absolutely wonderful!

Everything about this property is just "wow". First of all, you can't find a rental home better appointed - down to chip clips for bags of chips (to go with guacamole of course) and all the way through to a cribbage board, dozens of beach towels, and bicycles. The home is sparkling clean, spacious, and perfectly maintained. The team of Wilma, Luis, and Juan are dedicated, professional, and caring. The home is even better than its pictures, with a warm, clean, lovely pool, great linens on the beds, and plenty of room for all . The only tip I would offer is to rent a car; while taxis are available at the nearby resort, they are not the most convenient to secure and they know they have a monopoly on visitors at the resort and nearby villas. Book this place and enjoy - it's amazing.

Casa la Via, beautiful home for the perfect family vacation!

We recently spent eight wonderful days in the Akumal area at Casa la Via. The villa was perfectly located with so much to experience everyday. Close to water parks, cenotes, Tulum and the wonderful restaurants in Akumal. Wilma, the housekeeper, kept the home immaculate and she cooked a delicious meal for us the last night. Juan the night guard, was there every evening with his big smile always ready to help and Luis kept the pool and grounds looking beautiful. All the amenities of the home, golf cart, bikes, made touring the grounds so much fun. We paid for a day pass at the Sirenis Resort which was a treat too, the food, pools, beach, and the drinks....we spent a great day! Don't forget to use the Wecome Binder to find all you can do in the area. Also, the kids loved the nearby Xpu-Ha beach! Thank you Nadya for helping make this such a wonderful family experience. Perfect family vacation

Casa La Via was absolutely wonderful. There were 8 of us and we had more than enough space. The kids loved having their own pool. Everyone loved the rooftop deck which was perfect for stargazing. This was one of the best vacations we have ever taken.

Fabulous vacation villa!

Our families had a wonderful time at Casa La Via. It is clean, spacious and very inviting. The owners have thought of everything! The pool is a wonderful gathering area and entertained the kids for hours! Wilma and Juan are lovely people. Wilma cooked for us on a few occasions which was spectacular.. The location is perfect, with the security of a gated resort and many beaches and attractions a short drive away. Highly recommend Casa La Via!

Couldn't have been better!

"Best vacation ever!" Those were the words of 9 young adults on our way back home. We visited the Riviera Maya with our two kids and seven of their friends, and soon as we entered the house, they all went "WOWWW", and instead of helping with the luggage, they just ran upstairs to choose their bedrooms. We had an amazing time while at the house, we enjoyed Wilma's delicious meals, and the guys spent all of the nights by the pool, listening to music, and enjoying the pico de gallo and guacamole that Wilma made for us every day. You have to try them, they were the best. The guys are between 19-22 years old, and they were so comfortable at Casa La Via every night after coming back from our trips, that they chose not to go out to the resort's disco. You know a kid at that age can be hard to please, well, let me say that this was not the case. Our vacation at Casa La Via is for sure one of the best memories we will ever have.
