Lovely apartment recommend local 5 minute walk to guia village 10 minute drive to shopping mall , everything you need for a very pleasant stay in the apartment. The pool is small but ok the sauna/ gym are extra at 30 euro . We didn't use on this vacation as we spent our days with family and friend close by and there for a wedding .Quiet complex parking excellent and safe under ground I give it 10 out of 10 two bedroom one shower room and one bath/shower room .greats all green

Guia is quaint and close to everywhere

We stayed in this condo for a month. April. Close to everything. Good restaurants in the town plus many within 20min. Condo was clean and great condition. Hosts were eesponsive and great. We stayed a months and travelled up and down the coast. Everything was close.

Superb Apartment *****

We were looking for an apartment for a golfing trip and didn't want to be in the middle of tourist areas. Guia is a lovely small town with all the amenities you will need. The communication with Nigel (owner) was first class and he responded almost immediately when asked questions. The apartment was spotless and even better than advertised. It was literally a home from home, just with much better weather and suitably located to reach many of the Algarve's best golf courses.

Schöner Urlaub August 2024 in Guia

Wir habe unseren Aufenthalt in Guia bei Nigel sehr genossen. Die Wohnung war sehr groß und super gepflegt. Der Ort ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, wenn ein Mietwagen vorhanden ist, fĂŒr alle StrĂ€nde im SĂŒden der Algarve sowie auch um in einer Stunde in den Bergen zu sein. Der Kontakt war sehr freundlich und alle Daten rund um die Wohnung standen uns pĂŒnktlich zur VerfĂŒgung. Alles in allem wĂŒrden wir die Wohnung zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Wonderful stay

A beautiful clean appointment with everything you could need. Was also left little extras (milk, bread, wine etc) which was a very nice touch. Great communication with the owner too. Its in a nice quiet area with a couple of restaurants near by. Only 5/6 euro for an Uber to the old town in Albufeira and the beach. I came with friends for a girly holiday. Will defo return with my husband and family.

Excellent Property

The apartment is superbly equipped with everything you would need for a holiday. It is a short walk to the village with it's many restaurants and bars and only a short drive to Albufeira. The patio area is great for relaxing and catching up reading. Would highly recommend and we will certainly be returning on our next holiday to Portugal.

Good Access to the Algarve

Guia is a small town just a few minutes from Albufeira and the gorgeous Gale beaches. We used it as our center to explore the Algarve, which was easy with Google maps
 Portuguese roads are very manageable if you’re ok with all the roundabouts. During our 3 weeks at Nigel’s we visited Sagres, Lagos, Monchique, OLHÃO, Alcoutim, and many places in between. The apartment is very clean plus they have a woman clean weekly for long term stays. The decor was not to our liking and the LR couches have covers to hide the wear, but the kitchen has prime Bosch refrigerator , dw, washing machine and dryer. The patio is large, private, and lovely, and Nigel could not have been kinder, more responsive, or more helpful, and there are many good restaurants and even a bakery extremely close by.

a lovely place in a quiet little town

The property is amazing, big covered patio, very well equipped, a lot of little extras. The weekly housekeeper for our one month stay was a bonus for sure. A very quiet location but only a short walk to small restaurants and stores. We did not rent a car, we bussed and Ubered it everywhere. Excellent bus service into Albuferia, the mall and other towns up and down the coast.

Great Location and a Perfect Stay in a Wonderful Apartment

We enjoyed a wonderful week at Nigel's place. The location was perfect for us. For us, it was a perfect base for exploring the Algarve. We loved the village of Guia, and the cute cafés and restaurants all within short walking distance. And it was a short drive to both the beautiful Galé beach, and into Albufeira city centre. Great communication with Nigel helped us get settled-in. There was a thorough set instructions and advice, and excellent recommendations for restaurants throughout the region. The apartment was very clean, spacious, and well-equipped. There is a nice terrace and garden, great for relaxing on a sunny afternoon. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was very well-equipped. Everything worked well: a/c, Wi-Fi, Netflix, etc. The security system was very good and easy to use. Parking was easy and convenient, and check-in/out was quick and easy. All-in-all, an excellent stay! I highly recommend, and will certainly return!

Lovely apartment with a very large BUT ...

Overall we had a lovely stay. Apartment is clean and nicely decorated. We arrived at 12:30am and desperate for a cup of tea, sadly welcome pack did not include €0.60 container of milk so couldn’t have one. The owner never mentioned the garden under the patio was being redone and we were interrupted during what we very much needed a restful holiday, once whilst all four of us were laid on loungers so builders could bring rocks etc and do work. We ended up just going inside. I do feel I am being exceptionally kind giving four stars to our experience as what occurred on the last day is totally unacceptable. The design is such that when people enter the complex they can see the patio area, both cleaners were arriving and looked directly at me loaded down with recycling and garbage leaving the garden area of the flat to dispose of items. It didn’t stop them and they proceeded to go to the front door and ring the bell 25-30 times. Continually!! My two young daughters were on the other side of the door saying, we can’t open door please please wait for our mummy to come back. But no, they used their key to let themselves in, as I was only gone 3 minutes or so they really didn’t give it long!! My husband was in the shower. When I got back it was evident my girls were very scared and this is unacceptable! They cleaners were saying you go you go! It was 9:40am and check out clearly clearly stated as 10:30. This is wrong! Totally! I have been very very generous with 4* as they was an awful experience.

Lovely, clean apartment in a great location.

One week stay for a pre Christmas family break. Arrived late in the evening and with the directions Nigel had given us it was easy to find the apartment and settle in very quickly. The apartment is very spacious, lots of lovely touches to make the stay special and Nigel and Rosie made us feel very welcome. The apartment is very central in Guia and even though it was their holidays, there were still a few restaurants very close by that were open, including a bakers that was open from early hours of the morning cooking fresh bread, cakes and pies. We were also fortunate to come across a little bar in the village that soon became our local. Having a hire car enabled us to visit nearby towns, beaches and attractions and in December the beaches in December are beautiful and quiet. We were very lucky to have found this apartment and my two boys ages 10 and 8 both thoroughly enjoyed their first visit to Portugal. My husband and I are hoping it won't be our last visit!.
