I normally stay at the EconoLodge on on Eubank and I-40. My girlfriend wanted to stay at a different place, so I chose this EconoLodge because it had a higher rating that the other one, plus it also had a pool and hot tub. These are things I care nothing about, but were important to the girlfriend. So, I booked here thinking is was a big upgrade. NOPE!!! The next morning my girlfriend woke up with little rashes on her face and all over her body. We went to the doctor and we were told those were bed bug bites. Luckily, the bed bugs didn't like me. And, I don't have I don't have bed bugs at my house and she does not have bed bugs at her house. The breakfast was average. The sheets were itchy and course. Plus the added bonus of bedbugs. BEWARE!!!

Rooms were just ok. I appreciated that there was a microwave and it was clean. Rest of the room not so much- remote control was filthy as was the lamp next to the bed. Speaking of the bed- it had a very squeaky bed frame. Any time you moved the springs squeaked. The mattress was not comfortable. Almost sank to the ground it was soft and worn with the middle sagging. Breakfast- thank you for the coffee. Waffle station was good, but the rest, including the gravy for the biscuits and tater tots were not good. Packaged muffins were a good idea but they had over 400 calories in them.

Staff was friendly but the location was way too noisy. Not to mention they were working on the roof about our room. Toilet clogged and the manager handed me a plunger and said you know how to use this, right!

Room was ok - toilet was a bit temperamental & smoke smell wafted in from the parking lot. The refrigerator was noisy. The location was very good as it was walking distance to Old Town. Generally a good value for the money. No elevator to the second floor.

This place is outstanding if you're on a budget -- I've stayed here twice now. It's close to Old Town. The bed is comfy. And the breakfast is also very good. Staff is nice. There aren't a lot of frills, but it ticks all the boxes.
