First room I checked into had no fridge and no microwave. Asked to change rooms. They did. 2nd room...cheesy, tiny microwave that locked everytime you used it. No phone in the room to call the front desk. No card, book, booklet, rack card...nothing describing the hotel, where ice machine is, breakfast hours, no information whatsoever.... no phone number on any of the confirmation emails I got. First time I sat down on the toilet...no toilet paper. No lightbulb in the bedside table lamp. Turned off the AC unit when I got there...wanted to turn it back on later...wouldn't work. Noticed the plug had fallen out of the wall outlet. Plugged it back in, still wouldn't work. Had to have front desk person come up and reset it. They say it is a pet friendly hotel yet when you take your dog(s) out for a walk there's only a parking lot. A couple of tiny grass spaces, the rest are curbs with rocks. Very little space and the whole property is littered with trash. It's just in an armpit off the freeway crowded together with 5 other hotels, also with no space and littered with trash.The back door wouldn't open with the key card for many guests and finally they had to prop the door open with a rock. In short...don't stay here.

My family and I had been driving 10 hrs and were looking for a quick place off the interstate, Laquinta hotels usually are decent, I booked 4 rooms 1 room the carpet was wet, the other room smelled of dog, and the 3rd room my daughter found bed bugs. I told the front desk asked them to go look and the lady tells me "thats a tick" not a bed bud. They did offer me another room but no thank you, we had not even been there an hour and were already disgusted we weren't even unpacked. They told me they cant refund me because i booked through Expedia. We left and I contacted Expedia and waiting to hear from them.

Surprised with an unfavorable stay

I was surprised as I read many reviews. One thing in their favor was hot water for a shower but I had to stand in water accumulating in the tub. I’ve stayed in these hotels before with good results. The front desk checkin could have been more helpful. I won’t be staying at this particular location again.

Never again

Where to start… This hotel doesn’t have queen beds, only doubles. Yes, this was in the description, but I missed it since I’ve NEVER been to a hotel with only double beds before. There were stains on the carpet and bedspread. My husband slept in his clothes and refused to walk barefoot, and he’s not that particular. It had to be bad. The shower’s caulking was mildewed and the bottom of the tub was peeling. There was a bath mat thrown over it to try to hide the peeling. An armed guard was at the entrance of the parking lot. While other hotels have security, this was way more obvious than any hotel I’ve ever been to before. On one hand, it’s nice to know there’s security. On the other, the guard’s presence must be necessary. The full breakfast was good—eggs, potatoes, & make-yourself waffles. There was a sign saying that they were refurbishing the hotel, so maybe it will be better soon. We’ll never know bcz we won’t be back. As we were leaving, my husband said, “I can’t believe La Quinta allowed their name to be used.” He wasn’t wrong.
