No ambience what so ever. The place was bare and unwelcoming. The only thing that was nice was the night desk clerk. He was very nice and answered our questions. They ask for a $50 deposit if you are from New Mexico but not out of state, which I found interesting. Be aware that the drink vending machines usually work but not the snacks. The motel is not responsible for the machines or the money they take. Mattresses are thin and worn. Rooms were basically clean.
The front desk wasn't staffed. Thos caised some difficilty when our room keus wouldn't work when we returned from a day out ans about. We finally tracked down a housekeeper who let us into our room.
It would have been nice if the room I booked and paid for ahead of time would have been the room I was given. I booked a queen bed, smoking room. Upon check-in I was told that the room eas no longer available. They put me in a nonsmoking, 2 queen bed room and increased the rent by $5. I had no choice but to pay because I was dropped off and really no other options at that point.
Upon checking in, I foundout the room that I booked and paid for was a queen size bed and a
smoking room, all of a sudden wasn't available anymore. Ivwad put onto a non-smoking room with 2 queen beds and the price was increased and I was charged more for their mistakes and it wasnt a smoking room. After booking and paying for any room in advance, and the staff at the motel makes a mistake by renting it out t someone else, the price should stay same as well as the details that are on the itinerary. Changing everything to what you didn't want and charging more, not honoring their own receipt or itinerary for that stay raises a red flag on the integrity of the business. I ended up being short $37 for other things I was suppose to buy. Very disappointing. I won't be doing any business with motel 6 in Bernalillo New Mexico again. They'll leave the light on for you
No staff no Microwave no mini fridge and you can hear people in the conjoining rooms like they are in the room with you. Cleaning staff in the morning was yellin and laughing.
The man who helped me check in, was so friendly and helpful. Inside the place was very clean and my room was clean and comfortable. The only issue that is more reflection of the guests who stay there, is that in all the areas outside the hotel there was dog poop, and lots of it. I donât understand how people can take their dogs out to poop and not pick it up, but in every area of rocks around the hotel that you pass, there was lots of dog poop. I wouldnât expect the hotel to have to clean it up, but perhaps they could make sure somehow their guests do it or charge a fee if they donât pick up after their dog.
Overall, the state was very good and I appreciate it.
