Property was appropriate for the price, hotel facilities of bar & bistro were adjacent to room and room was fresh & clean.
There was nil bathroom basin, meaning the cleaning of teeth, shaving, etc took place in kitchen sink. This too requires vigilance as the nearest PowerPoint for kettle & toaster meant that the power cord passed over the kitchen sink & tap.
Did not know that the hotel was under refurnishment work which was not a major hassle except for the early morning noise. The workers were very polite and not their fauilt as they have to get their work done in limit time during the day. The outdoor internet antenna needs to be relocated out from the present location to enable like rooms 119 - 125 can get signal. Struck it years ago the rubbish truck picking up the bins from next the door property at 6:00am (Not the hotel fault). The counter we had was good with a cold beer. Misplaced the room key and the staff were very helpful (it was found). Good parking and plenty of it. Rooms serviced every day and bed comferble and water in the shower was great.
Fairly basic motel. Bit noisy from traffic. So good value. Being renovated at the moment - which leads me to my one issue with the site. There was noise on Saturday until about 5pm or so. Not an issue really.
The big concern is with OH&S. they were working using jackhammers and vacuums to remove old tiles from the concrete walkways. The main car park was barricaded off, rightly so. But to get to rooms you needed to go through the main car park, and there were numerous trip hazards, including extension cords on the ground.
What was worse was the number of more major trip hazards like electrical conduits sticking up. Some were marked with a witches hat, but it needed more than that, particularly at night.
I donât begrudge the owners from upgrading. And the price was discounted. But I would have expected more effort into placing barriers to ensure that visitors were safe.
