My flight was canceled and I was in a strange city. I went on Expedia picked a hotel that looked according to the room looked OK and the price was very reasonable. My Lyft driver cautioned me that the area was really not safe. Lots of street walkers, drug addicts, etc.. We arrived to the location, and just as the Lyft driver had suggested there were what appeared to be hookers and drug addicts loitering the property very unclean and unsafe looking establishment. The door to the office is locked, and you can only speak with the receptionist through a window and it was about 18° outside snowing raining and freezing. Expedia should be ashamed of themselves to not be more discriminatory of the properties that they represent. I did not stay at this hotel. I did not feel safe. I immediately had my driver take me to another respectable hotel. Expedia is refusing to refund my money⊠I shouldnât be surprised, considering the hotel in question in Alexandria Louisiana was on their listing. Not a very integral company at all I will never utilize their services again.
