Beautiful cottage

Loved the details of this cottage. It was beautifully decorated. We had 7 people and there was plenty of room for all. Lake Brophy is a weedy lake so I was happy we had a boat as the weeds in front of the dock made it difficult for the kids to fish. The cabin had all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. It was clean and ready for guests when we arrived. Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay! Communication regarding check in and needs during the stay was easy and answered promptly. The listing is very accurate, the home is comfortable and located close to everything you might need. Our only issue was that the weeds made it impossible to swim at the beach or off the dock. It may not be an issue earlier in the summer, but a large part of the reason we chose this house was for the swimming. We recommended property management purchase a weed roller to keep on the property for future guests.

Perfect lakeside vacation

We absolutely loved this home. It was beautiful and spacious inside and had a great lawn for the kids to play on. It was a peaceful neighborhood. The playground and beach were very close as well. We would love to stay here again in the future.

This property was exactly as advertised. The lake is just a beautiful as the cottage. There is to a of room, good fishing from the dock and we enjoyed spending time gathered around a fire, watching lions on the lake and playing cards inside at night. Highly recommend!

Perfect cabin vacation

Adorable home, clean and stocked with everything you’ll need including bug spray and beach towels. The park across the lake was great for the kids as well as the large grassy lawn and the small beach/sand area.

Don't be Blue

There is no way to be blue at this cabin. The lake is fantastic, and the fishing was too! Granted we were fishing for anything my 8- and 10-year-old kids could catch. Great location minutes from Alex. Just a nice place to relax. Rod

Charming nautical design, well executed, well stocked!!!

Loved the nautical design of the cabin, it really added to our enjoyment! The open concept great room was a wonderful gathering place for our family, we really enjoyed the soaring ceilings, wall of windows overlooking the lake andthe two story stone fireplace. The kitchen was stocked with multiple sets of blue and white dinnerware, glasses, serving pieces and placemats/napkins, allowing us to set beautiful tables, which was a bonus! We really enjoyed the cottage's lakefront access, fishing/boating dock with bench, tree swing and fire ring area. We all enjoying watching and hearing the loons as well. The location was great as well, with easy access to our favorite spots: all the beautiful lakes and restaurants, Country Blossom Orchard, Carlos Creek Winery, Northmen Brewery, Copper Creek Brewery, Central Lakes Bike trail, Brophy County Park - with its playground, swimming beach and fishing dock (caught lots of fish there). We rented a pontoon from Lake Darling Resort and enjoyed exploring Lake Darling, Carlos and Le Homme Dieu. All 6 adults and t Two children agreed The Brophy Lake Summer Cottage was amazing!!

Pristine lake getaway

The home is situated beautifully on a nice small lake with minimal boat traffic. The full wall of windows facing the lake offers gorgeous views throughout the day and really makes the property. The layout and rooms are great for family, with two bedrooms setup for couples and one equipped with three smaller beds for kids. Nice firepit, chairs, and swing outside provide relaxation spots. The biggest complaint is that the dock is a bit unstable and has no railing, so could be dangerous for some. Also, there are no provided water toys (kayaks, paddleboard, etc.) which would be a nice addition.

Amazing Cabin

My family and I spent the fourth of July weekend at this cabin and had a wonderful experience. The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed, and had more than enough room for the six of us. We enjoyed swimming and sitting on the dock or tree swing most of the day and ended every night at the fire pit. The kids are already asking when we're going back.

Peaceful retreat

Beautiful quiet property with everything you need to unplug, relax and unwind. Plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to gather as a family but also spaces for privacy for all family members to take needed moments of solitude. Host is very responsive to questions and process of check-in/out very quick and convenient. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in our home town for an extended period.

Annual Family Vacation

We have been going to Alexandria for over 10 Years with my family of 4 and Mother In law and Sister in law. The lake home we usually rented was no longer available to us. This home was a perfect spot to start new traditions. The home is beautiful, spacious, beds and sheets were very comfortable, house was very clean, and had beautiful décor. My boys LOVED the kids room with the built in beds. The home was VERY well stocked with kitchen items. The only downside was, I would almost say the kitchen was overstocked with items like coffee cups and plates and not enough things like Tupperware and bowls. Additionally, because the cupboards were so full, we had no cupboard space and we had to put all our dry food on the counters. Additionally we ran out of paper towels as there was only 1 1/2 rolls upon our arrival. The location of the home to the lake was awesome! The lake was a short distance from the home. The dock is very nice with a bench at the end of it. The sunsets on this lake were breathtaking! Fishing was good as well. Only down fall was there was no provided place to clean fish and the only thing stated was you can't clean the fish in the house. If you are not going to allow guests to clean fish in the house then I would just recommend having a place to do or at least provide a table to clean them outside. All in all, I highly recommend this home for your next lake vacation. You just may need to bring a table for cleaning fish but you will not be disappointed!

Beautiful Oasis

Stayed at this property as a surprise birthday/finished cancer treatment weekend for my mom and she loved it! The home is beautifully decorated and has just about every household item you can think of! The big windows with the natural light are incredible and the tree swing is so relaxing! Definitely recommend staying here!

Love this cottage on Lake Brophy!

This property is very, very nice and check-in/check-out was a breeze. So many things are provided you can pack light! The open layout is great, and keeps everyone hanging out together. Good swimming for older kids - they just have to swim out past the seaweed. The fish bite like CRAZY off the dock - little ones, so the kids were able to get lots of practice baiting the hook and taking fish off to toss back. Love the location and endless things to do in the Alexandria area.
