This is an absolutely beautiful home with lots of space for our group of 10 adults. A couple things we noticed while staying here that we wanted to mention so you are aware:1. the upstairs smoke detector battery had to be replaced so we handled it (beeping)2. hand towels seemed to be in short supply for 10 people (when I reached out I was given the code but no more to be found)3. no pads found for the Swiffer dry mop4. TV in living room, speaker is blown, terrible to listen to5. Paper towels were in short supply but when I reached out I was given the code to get ahold of more 6. Shower door in bathroom upstairs was broken, owners were notified7. broken pane of glass in hutch in kitchen8. broken pane of glass in garage door9. kitchen drawers, some had loose fronts10. bedroom window upstairs (above master bedroom) was hard to open and closeAgain, just wanted to mention things we noticed while staying here.Overall, a wonderful place to stay, we loved the home for sure!!
Beautiful property with everything you need to have a great lake outing. Beds were extremely comfortable. Couldn't have been better. Perfect weather was the icing on the cake.
Five couples gathered together for Spring Break! We enjoyed the space this house provided for 10 adults. We prepared food, played games, enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, and explored the area. We would love to come back to this beautiful home and area!
I was there with a group of 11 ladies and we all had an amazing time at this property. Everything was as described or better. I wish the weather was a little less humid because we would have loved to utilize the exterior spaces more but even though we were stuck inside most of the time we found plenty to keep us busy. I even had a private chef come and cook us dinner one of the nights and he was surprised that the kitchen and stovetop/griddle was as nice as it was.
We had a fantastic girls weekend in Alexandria! There were 11 of us that stayed at the house. The house is gorgeous! Just like the pictures. This is the best VRBO that we have stayed at so far. It is clean, lots of room, and has a beautiful view of the lake. On Friday night, we had a baby shower for my daughter. The kitchen had everything I needed for a meal. Later that night, we played games with all of us gathered together in the living room. On Saturday morning, we went into Alexandria and had pedicures, went shopping, and then came back to the house. In the afternoon, the girls laid out on the dock and us older women (the classics) sat in chairs on the grass, in the shade, overlooking the lake. Early evening we went into town for supper and later came back and played games again. I highly recommend this place for your family gatherings!
We had a wonderful long weekend (4 nights) family get away with our 3 adult children and their families. The house is large with ample room, bathrooms, is clean & tastefully and simply decorated.
The hosts were excellent at responding immediately to all inquiries both before and during the end of our stay. The amenities are very nice.
Great outdoor areas too. Lots of seating on the deck as well as the patio below. There was no sitting area set up by the lake, so I would recommend bringing some camp chairs of your own, if that is something you would enjoy.
Plenty of activities provided at the home from lawn games, ping pong, paddle boards, kayak and a canoe. We did bring our own jet ski, tube and paddle boards so we were all often on the lake/lakes together. One day we rented a pontoon from a local business - that too was very nice. We spent a little time at a nearby (3/4 mile away) sand beach (rocky area in and out of the water at the house with no ladder on the dock).
We often like to try new and different lake homes every summer, but we all agreed this is one we would definitely consider returning to.
