We stayed at Treloar Cottage for our daughters wedding at the Barn at Monterey Valley. The location was perfect. We walked in and saw the lake from the sliders and fell in love with the home. Each morning we had coffee outside and watched the sunrise along with a Bald Eagle that joined us two days in a row. It was so quiet and peaceful here. The two bathrooms were so appreciated. We were lucky enough to have a full moon during our stay. It was so pretty seeing it from the couch over the lake. It was the relaxation we needed before the big day. I did not want to leave and seriously thought of adding yet another day. We will definitely be staying here again. Maybe for our anniversary. The winter would be beautiful watching snow fall from inside and with a fire going. The home had everything we needed. Loved the collection of antique books too. We felt at home immediately. Thank you for being such great host.

We loved our family vacation. The house was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the lake and used the kayaks and paddle boards every day. Our little one had fun on the beach and playing in the water. A great vacation!!

Perfection in every way

There’s no better way to describe Treloar Cottage other than simply, perfection. My girlfriend and I stayed for more than a week over NYE and loved waking up to the beautiful views of lake, enjoying the ambiance of the fireplace, and watching the snow fall. We had everything we needed and more to feel right at home and the hosts really did think of every little detail to provide excellent hospitality. This was our first vacation together and we will be making it a tradition to return to Treloar for years to come!

Beautiful cottage weekend on lake

We loved the Treloar Cottage! We brought visiting family from Europe and they got to experience a true American lake experience - we loved using the bonfire, smores, paddle boards and kayaks, sand castle supplies, and grill! The cottage was very clean and everything we could have needed was supplied.

Homey relaxing getaway!

Every thought has been given by Mark and Betsy to make this a homey and perfect vacation stay! We brought our boat and had so much fun celebrating my Moms 90th Birthday. Family came from FL, CA, TX and the Allegan area. After Family left we had two relaxing nights to just lay back and chill with our Great Grandson! Just perfect!

This was the perfect property for my family to stay at for the weekend of our sons wedding. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with anything you need to cook. Very relaxing spot on our busy weekend!

A gorgeous little paradise

The view of the lake in the morning was majestic at every hour. My friends and I enjoyed the comfortable beds, paddle boarding, and Amazon Prime movies. We played a campfire game that was left in the living room and it brough us closer together as we sat around the firepit at night roasting marshmallows. The wi-fi is a little slow so be careful if you are coming to WFH, but otherwise a very pleasant, cozy, and affordable experience.

A great place. The only reason I didn't rate it a 5 all across is because the one mattress was pretty bad, way too soft so that 2 people will roll into the center. And the couches have the same issue with seats badly needing extra support. Besides these 2 things a wonderful property.

The property was fantastic!

We really enjoyed ourselves. Loved the fact that there was two bedrooms and two bathrooms for the two of us (friends). One of us has walking issues and everything was on one flat level which was extremely helpful. The awning outside was great when it rained a couple of days, you could still sit outside. The house was very clean and we had a nice quiet place to relax. The kitchen had just about everything you could need. I would suggest bringing more DVD's if you want to watch television on a regular basis. Thank you so much... we will be back next year for sure.

Great cottage for kids

We loved our 3 day weekend at the cottage. We and another couple each brought our 18 month olds and they had so much fun, great setup for kids with a grassy backyard, sandy beach, and peaceful lake. Thanks for having us!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the cottage.The pictures does no justice you have to be there for the experience it was beautiful!A Christmas tree with decorations made it feel as if we was at home. Also,they provided snacks,and hot chocolate plus items you would normally forget(band aides,batteries and tooth brush kits)I highly recommend the Treloar Cottage and told family members and will be visiting again!

Perfect getaway

This cottage is even better than the listing photos. It is an open, airy and completely updated space. The view is fantastic, particularly if the weather precludes spending time outdoors. It was immaculately clean, and furnished with little amenities to make you feel welcome. (Bottle of wine, cookies, cocoa mis, spare toothbrushes if you forgot yours, soap, shampoo, etc) We would definitely re-book a stay and highly recommend!
