This cabin is amazing! Loved by adults and the kids! Situated in Roosevelt National Forest, which is right outside of Rocky Mountain National Park, with the same topography minus the crowds, this cabin is a little slice of heaven.
Mornings were spent sipping coffee Creekside, amateur drumming and some yoga in front of the Tibetan alter – yoga mats were provided. Afternoons were spent on incredible hikes most within a 20 minute drive and evenings spent grilling and soaking in the hot tub. Internet service was great. The mattress and luxury bedding soothed my sore muscles and I woke up rejuvenated and ready to hike again. The cabin has a vibe that gives way to creativity – we were inspired to paint and journal.
The renovation of this 100 year old cabin is just incredible. They preserved the rustic history and added modern comforts with a lot of originality and style. The woodwork and stone throughout the cabin - well, it felt like we were staying in a work of art. The photos don’t capture the magic of these details.
There was a cabinet full of board games, several books to chose from, and as I said above, multiple instruments, including leather drums, a guitar, and a tambourine.
The cabin is located right next to a small grocery store, which was very convenient, and there were enough cabins around that you don’t feel totally isolated, but you are secluded enough where you really feel like you are getting away from the world. We will definitely return!
