Management company was contact. Listed wood stove in description, its only for owner use. This was extremely disappointing as it was part of criteria to book. Very clean, lots of dishes, cookware was dirty, great pillows, good towels, beauty balconies and view
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. The location is beautiful and the home was very well appointed, comfortable, and clean. We don't generally cook on our trips, but if that's your thing, the kitchen had a large selection of pots and pans, enough decent knives to prepare a meal, and lots of tableware. It was also conveniently located to things we wanted to see in the White Mountains as well as Portsmouth. Two things that would make this place perfect for visitors who aren't familiar with the property: A motion sensor or some other way get the light turned on at the top of the outdoor stairs when you return in the dark and have forgotten to leave the outdoor lights on; and, something to draw the eye to the little lip leading from the living area into the downstairs bathroom. We all caught our feet on it. Other than that, we found this house to be a fantastic place to call home base for our trip.
Lovely stay with family visiting from New Zealand. Highlights fire pit, views, loons comfortable beds easy access to towns with variety of food types for eating out. Only ambiguity was in amenities lthat said washer dryer but in brackets says private. !?Overall good value for money 8 people peaceful and met expectations.
What a gem! Fabulous location. The house was lovely with lots of cozy sitting areas inside and out on the patio. Please note: there are many stairs down to the house which presented a challenge for some in our group. That said, we all agreed it was well worth the effort! Would love to stay again next year.
Great property and perfect for family stay. We used it as a base for ski races at Gunstock, only 10 minutes away. Fantastic waterfront property and views are outstanding. We would definitely come back.
We stayed for six nights and had a very enjoyable stay. The views of the lake from the kitchen and common areas are unbeatable. Beds and bedrooms were comfortable. We didnât mind the steps from the parking area, but as noted, they wouldnât be good for people with mobility problems. We would have appreciated a binder with all the necessary information on the home, area restaurants, etc, including instructions on using the wood burning stove (we tried using it but had to stop due to smoke). Would we stay here again? Yes!
Great spot on the lake between the cove & islands. House was in great shape and having a relaxing living space on each floor was convenient. While there were a good amount of stairs to get from the driveway to the house, it was well-maintained. The view was phenomenal from just about everywhere in the house and the second floor deck was nice but could have used some chairs/tables. Would definitely rent again.
Thanks to this family who allowed us to get our âlake fixâ. The home is family inclusive and well appointed. We were not for want of anything. Our family is 5 adults we all felt lake cozy. Again thanks to this family for allowing us to share their well loved home
I have stayed at a lot of lake houses, and this one was
one of the best. We had views of the sunrise and sunset it was a great location. The house was furnished with everything we needed. Highly recommend this property.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property!! The location was perfect and provided spectacular views of Lake Winnipesaukee from almost every room. The house was clean and beautifully furnished, and the beds were very comfortable! Since our stay was in late November, we didn't get to really enjoy the outside deck as much as we would have liked, but we did get one evening to enjoy the firepit and take in the gorgeous scenery. Would definitely stay there again!! I do wish it was dog friendly (at least on the 1st floor) as I would love to stay there in the summer with my hubby and pup and have my adult children join us as it would make a wonderful place for a family reunion. In any case, it gets 5 stars from me!!
We enjoyed our stay very much.
There must, however, be a description of the extensive steep stairway to enter the home as seniors, like us, might find it prohibitive, especially because suitcases and provisions had to be brought in.
We needed instructions on proper wood stove use.
Although instructions for use were available online, a written instruction manual would be useful for those unfamiliar with computers.
Incidentally a ruptured bag of garbage was seen as we left at the end of the driveway.
Location and views were spectacular
We spent 4 days at this beautiful home on the lake. The house was immaculate and quietly situated in a cove. We swam, kayaked and read on the deck. This would be perfect for a large family vacation and weâll be back with our kids for sure.
Great week overall. The house was the perfect size (for 2 couples) in the perfect location. Lake view could not have been better. The house could use some updates/maintenance. 2 screens were missing when we arrived, sheets were too small, outdoor stonework bordering on dangerous in places. It has the potential to be amazing.
We loved this place! It was perfect! Fishing, paddle boarding, floating dock, fire pit & the view!âŠand the sunrises and sunsets were stunning đ we will be returning for sure â„ïž
This home is exactly as presented in the photos. It is very comfortable and designed for big groups with the flexibility of being able to use multiple spaces for quiet time. Absolutely loved it! We would note that if you have mobility issues that the stairs down to the house may give you pause. It is totally worth it! The views are amazing!
