Up graded to a lodge,lovely rooms cosy and comfy,private and quiet. Bar was adequate as was the food. Staff were welcoming and accommodating. The hotel setting was beautiful and within walking distance of the shopping centre. Would recommend for a short stay

Nice Hotel

We had free upgrade room 16 . Room had nice view of the garden from the balcony. The room was a bit tired.furniture had a few knocks and the bathroom had mold on bath and tiles. Nice touch with free gin in the room. The staff very friendly but on the Sunday needed extra staff. The spa was nice and clean. The restaurant was nice and staff good service. Breakfast was good. Just disappointed you have to pay for car parking

Lovely

Always a lovely stay at this hotel; small and personal with very attentive staff. The spa is a great addition and the grounds are lovely. The restaurant menu is limited for vegetarians and this is my only critique, other than the surcharge for parking which felt a little like an upsell. Nonetheless, I will be back!

Great stay here for a break

This is a very nice stay in the heart of grasmere Small but nice spa Food quality was excellent Was able to charge my car Gardens were very nice It would be great to have better fans or air con in the rooms. Also to expand the spa in future years.
