The hotel is comfortable and has good facilities however it feels tired with the furniture in the room being old and battered and the housekeeping team was very disappointing (on one day we left the hotel around 10.30am and returned around 5.30pm to find that our bed had not been made up and the dirty glasses, cup and teaspoon had not been taken away and replaced with clean ones). The breakfast buffet selection was excellent and plentiful, however the hot items from the buffet were not being kept hot enough in their trays: the food could be described as warm at best, but tepid would probably be more accurate. Overall, whilst this hotel has 5 stars for its facilities, it did not deliver a 5 star experience.

Five stars all around close to everything beautiful old building we stayed in the canal side so it was quiet. Beds were fabulous my only criticism would be the cleaning products they used were very strong and they bothered my allergies. Breakfast was absolutely amazing!! Quite Pricy for us Canadians but wonderful anything you could ever want. Highly recommend!!!

The room I checked into was dirty — I found hair on the sheets. The bathroom was dirty as well. The trash can still had leftovers from the previous guest. I stayed for 5 nights and only managed, after complaining, to have my room cleaned twice — and even then, it was done poorly: the bed wasn’t made properly, no toilet paper was replaced, and no soap or shampoo was provided. The room was old and dark, with a view of the windows of other hotel rooms and an old small TV I ordered room service and the food was inedible. The word that best describe this hotel is DIRTINESS

food experience and management i really dont want to talk about, just hope it sees improvement in customer service. The maze of floor plans is so confusing, you are sure to lose your way at least once. Spa needs updating badly. Something somber about it. I didnt risk getting into a pool because water looked a bit thick. Jacuzzi looks cheap for the ranking. Do not book massage. Its not their staff and i had to ask therapist to stop he was so bad. No one even asked me how was my experience. They simply don't care. Checkin experience is slow and inefficient for 200 room hotel. There were only 2 helpful staff members i many young people not trained at all lack of assistance and professionalism and depressing spa experience turned me off at once.

The staff was extremely friendly and the room was spotless. This hotel is located within a 2 minute walk to the central tram and train location. There are also a lot of restaurants that are a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

The walk to the hotel is the first part of the adv

The hotel is nearby Central Station and located in a nice area. But what they don't tell you is getting to the hotel is only half of the walk. The real journey starts when you enter the doors of the hotel. Then you go through a series of very confusing mazes. Climb stairs because the elevator is often not working, so I won't be using it. Then, finally, after 20 minutes, you might find your hotel room or end up back at the front desk - nobody really knows. It's a complete maze: Old Dutch Hotel and Old Dutch Service. They promise they'll clean your room, but they don't clean the room all day long. Finally, they do a quick little throw-down of the sheets, and it's just a very old hotel that has burnt-out workers and a burnt-out staff that makes the whole experience really poor.

Accommodating on letting us check in early. Staff member tried to let themselves into the room without knocking. Not great communication between staff when we asked for something, something else was being brought up instead. Jacuzzi was cold and the bubbles were excessive on one half of the tub but non existent on the other side.
