The hotel is beautiful and very unique. This is our second time staying here and there really is something quite magical about this place at this time of year. The communal areas and the rooms are all spotlessly clean, we really like that there are complimentary drinks and treats available for you to enjoy. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The only reason why I’ve not given 5 stars is because the beds are quite firm, which I know is personal preference and despite them adding an additional mattress topper, I still didn’t sleep that well. The main stairwell was also out of use for some reason which meant we had to use the very slow and small lift and in parts of the hotel there was a sewage smell like there was a blocked drain or something, we smelled this both in the lounge area and in the bathroom which was quite unpleasant. I would say these are small things that can easily be resolved and compared to all the many wonderful things about this hotel it didn’t stop our enjoyment of the place and we would definitely visit again.

It is an older hotel with a cute maximalist aesthetic and a terrific location for first time visitors. The free coffee and cookies were a nice touch. Most of the staff were lovely. Unfortunately, the room and hallway smelled like marijuana due to a street level business. We brought this to the hotel’s attention and were told that this was a known problem on the third floor but there was not much they could do about it. They also forgot to give us vouchers for our welcome amenities until we asked. Additionally, the doors are locked at 11 pm and you must turn in your room key when entering and leaving the hotel. Overall, I would choose a different hotel next time.
