Good deal, great locale

Great location if you are using AMS Centraal. i got it a reasonable price. Checkin went well and staff was friendly. It has a bar and kind of a restaurant in the lobby - not much of a menu. One big drawback for me where the restaurant was just off the lobby area and is one large open area. Had to keep waving off flies. The room was clean and quiet. I had a concern at first being right at the train station. Maybe because i was placed on the opposite side of the building but i heard no noise and there was just a smsll side street below with little traffic. By US standards this room was small as was the bathroom and shower. I knew it before going and was not any issue for me, but larger people especially if there is more than one in the room might be uncomfortable. If you are more than average size the shower might give you issues.

Overall an excellent place with very helpful staff and a great breakfast. However, the air conditioner did not work well. But when I alerted the front desk, they arranged to have a fan delivered to the room and a technician to fix the problem. The AC worked very well in the room we stayed in at this same hotel the previous week.

Stayed here because of the train access. The streets are sketchy but the center of Amsterdam IS sketchy! This was the first time we stayed at an Ibis property and will avoid in the future.

Great location. Hotel website doesn't show how cramped the cozy room is. Hardly room for 2 suitcases. No wardrobe , no tissues. Beyond basic. Our curise ship cabin is bigger!

We really like the option, the hotel it is close from all the touristic areas, needs an upgrade looks old but in general was clean, the rooms were too little and we got a room with two little beds separate, was not nice but ok. I mean with the price in Amsterdam we can not expect better, but everything else, so like the staff was nice.

Check in was ridiculous. Every room was unavailable until 3pm. So at 3pm you had a great big line up to register to get your room. Anybody knows rooms are available at different times. Not here. Bunch of inexperienced staff. Lockers are a joke to put luggage in. Asked what one to get and it couldn’t even put one case in it. Cost me 10 euro and was useless and no refund even offered. After waiting for room until 3pm at midnight and getting back to the room there was no body wash in the shower when I went to shower. Room was not prepared properly at all.
