The room was fine. The large ceiling fan had to be on low in order to keep the room at a desirable sleeping temperature. The art and wooden walls in hallways were very attractive.

The room was superb. Very clean with no evident issues or deficiencies. Access to and from the airport is quick; 15 minutes using third party transportation. There are several on-site dining and eating opportunities with reasonable pricing and excellent preparation selections.
Seating room with couch, chair, desk and hosting table.
A comfortable bedroom includes a chest of drawers, small refrigerator television and a enclosed closet.
The bathroom is spacious and features a large shower, double sinks, lighted mirrors and automatic motion-sensors lighting especially appreciated when approached in the evening.

No hot tub. Separate gym for men and women was weird. In order to workout with my husband I had to traverse weird hallways in the hotel and the coed gym had all the broken and outdated equipment. Restaurants were subpar.

The best hotel in Anchorage. This is a convenient spot for a work conference with 5 very nice restaurants on the property with varied options. Courteous, professional staff and great location downtown. Some of the rooms are small but clean, comfortable and modern.

The Captain Cook is a classic. We have stayed many times. When you reserve through a third party app they seem to give you the lowest grade room, even if you are VIP. We had a small room near the elevator.
