Loved the placed, its several rooms in an older home but very nicely decorated and quality decor, sheets, towels. The only downfall was no room for suitcases or to hang some clothes. Also there was no breakfast but their was a frig full of fruit, juice, yogurt, bread, bagels, cheese, sparkling waters. I would rent again if I'm back in Alaska.
Was nice having an en suite. The doors of the room next to mine were very creaky and made lots of noise every time they were opened or closed, but the room was comfortable and the shower was hot. I appreciated the food choices and made use of them.
Lovely property but not the easiest to access particularly when lock code accidentally only set for one night of stay so doesn't let you in for second night
Luxurious linens and towels compared to all our previous stays in the last 5 weeks. High end snack and breakfast items all included for you to choose from. Sooo quiet from all previous stays in Alaska. We felt like queens. Beautiful artwork. Can't say enough nice things.
The rooms are extremely small but good for a night or two. Really liked the open dining area that had a small refrigerator with snacks. And simple breakfast
Could not get into my room key pad was locked out called phone number and it went to voicemail tried again 10 minutes later was instructed to access private areas give code and then access key get iPad log in go to door of room and override lock was given my code. Was unable to get it to work propped door open every time I left the room. Went to bathroom and some how door latched. Good thing I wrote down the codes to get the iPad and login cause I had to retrieve and unlock my door again in the middle of the night.
Cute place! Loved the character outside and in. The common room was nice and stocked with bagels, yogart, cheese, juice, coffee, tea and other breakfast stuff. We stayed in the Ski View room which was small but had everything we needed! (Tip: don't bring a lot of baggage inside!)
The room was small but adequate. I should have booked a room with a private bathroom. We avoided using the shared bathroom as the couple of times we had to use it, one of the other guests had left pee on the floor. This was not at the fault of the owner of the property, just something for me to remember when booking in the future.
This is a nice little place but a tight space for a family, which is why I gave it 4 stars. The beds and bathroom were in good shape and the location is great.
If you wanted a room where anyone in the multi unit house - or neighborhood - could sneak up the back outside stairs and easily enter by hopping through the window at waist level into your bedroom on the second floor, this is the place for you.
I called the manager who was aware of the issue. Nothing could be done about it. It was sold out tonight and no one ever complained before. Maybe because Alaska is usually cold??? Â This is a rare warm spell. Lucky me.Â
Women traveling solo have safety concerns. This is a solo room. I am a travel agent and was a commercial hospitality liability underwriter in another life. This should have been disclosed.
I again viewed the photo of the room - there is nothing to indicate that there is a walkway and stairway outside the window. I can send pictures of the bedroom from the outside looking in from the stairway.  It should not be offered as a bedroom. Make it into anything other than a sleeping unit if the safety element cannot be fixed.Â
This is a huge fail
This is NOT acceptable.Â
