The property is centrally located within walking distance of main sites and restaurants but in a quiet and peaceful street. The host was very hospitable and the house is a historic bed & breakfast in a lovely well maintained house. Very homey and cozy decorations and our room was very comfortable and clean. Their was no a/c in the room but was Ok even in the warm weather in early June with opened windows.

What a wonderful chateau. No restaurant but plenty of tables to eat outside with your own picnic with plates and cutlery available free to use Some lovely walks around the area. And a pool to use. The hostess cannot be more helpful and the breakfast was a treat. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Excellent choice for Angers

Very congenial and helpful host in a lovely, charming and beautifully-furnished house. Very comfortable bed and good bathroom. Breakfast is light, stairs are quite steep and the radiator will tick and trickle fairly continuously when on, so do without it from bedtime when possible. Parking at the nearby secure park is easy and reasonably priced - just be aware the only indication you'll get that the exit machine has scanned your paid ticket is the raising of the arm!

A wonderful and charming stay

I have travelled extensively in recent years and I can say this was the best accommodation I have used. A beautiful house, hidden behind a simple facade. The owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was simple but beautiful, and our room was delightful. I could not recommend Les Chambers de Mathilde enough. Finding gems like this is why we travel. Absolutely wonderful. Thank You

Once inside a very pretty property awaits. Spacious room with lovely big en suite bathroom. Parking available and a very helpful host makes this the perfect place to stay when in Angers.

Boutique hotel with remodeled room and bathroom

It seemed the hotel room was recently remodeled. The bathroom was very nice and clean. It was the only hotel provided bar soap and facial tissue in our trip (we stayed in 6 different hotels). We really appreciated that. The owner was very friendly. The home made breakfast was simple but delicious. I had the best croissant ever. The hotel didn't have an elevator. You may want to ask for a lower level if you can't carry your luggage to the highest floor (3rd). The owner helped me to carry my luggage up. Our room didn't seem to have an air-conditioner. We didn't need it. There was a big window with street view in our room. The location of the hotel was great. Everywhere was in walking distance. The hotel had a private parking with a fee. The street parking was possible too. The town had four universities. There were many many young people around. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel and in this town.

L'accueil était trés bien. La chambre au fond de la cour chargée en décoration et on entend les gens au dessus et le parquet grince énormément .Le petit déjeuner un peu léger. Un peu de salé jambon,dinde serait bien. La salle de petit déjeuner à l'étage pas trés pratique. La location est très bien placée. Proche centre ville et toutes commodités

J’ai passé une excellente nuit dans cet hôtel ! L’accueil a été chaleureux et professionnel dès mon arrivée. La chambre était propre, confortable et la literie vraiment de qualité — j’ai très bien dormi. Le petit déjeuner était copieux et varié, avec des produits frais. Une belle adresse que je recommande sans hésiter, et où je reviendrai avec plaisir !
