The staff are very nice the place was clean but after we checked in there was a strong and bad smell of smoking of cannabis it was in lobby and 3rd floor the staff been informed about it but did nothing. No smoking signs was everywhere.

The little room that surprisingly could

The room was small, but well-architected: I brought a lot of stuff with me, and the counters and desks and such were built so you could slide things underneath them. Do NOT leave your car unlocked; my car was ransacked, but fortunately, there was nothing of value for him to steal.

Very clean with fair price

It was a very clean room but a bit warm for our liking and no way to cool it off. Breakfast was fine but no hot food (ie eggs, bacon etc). Convenient location beside highway but only restaurants within walking distance was adjacent hotel. This worked okay for us.

Weekend visit to the University of Michigan

I had a pleasant stay at the Microtel in Ann Arbor. The staff provided relatively good service, including a convenient pickup from the Amtrak station, which was a huge plus. I also appreciated the hotel’s eco-friendly touches, which reflect a thoughtful approach to sustainability. However, the complimentary breakfast was a bit of a letdown; limited options, especially for those following a low-carb or health-conscious diet. A few more protein-rich or fresh items would go a long way. Overall, a solid choice for a short stay, with room for improvement on the breakfast front.
