I was a vendor for the Ann Arbor Art Fair and found Terry’s place to be a good home base for us. It was a little farther from town than I originally wanted, but it turned out to be just fine. It was nice to have the quiet after the noise of the event and to be near the river where we could take a walk. The walking path is so nice to enjoy. The house is cute, in very good shape, updated and nicely appointed. The layout worked well for our needs. Terry was a very good communicator and got back with me quickly when I had questions. Since we were gone all day, returning late, and only ate breakfast there so I don’t know what cooking amenities are available.Since we had trouble visualizing the parking situation initially, the driveway is paved and three cars wide. As a guest, you park in a line along the right side. Or in our case, our SUV pulling a trailer. No trees to worry about when opening doors. We found a wonderful restaurant in Dexter, which is always a plus when traveling. I especially enjoyed hearing the 11PM train each evening. It’s not loud, just close enough by. We definitely found River Rock Guest House to be a gem and wished we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy the kayaking and canoeing. Maybe another time.
