I stayed at this hotel on a road trip. I was tired at arrival and needed to sleep. I accidentally booked this hotel but spent the days up near Pontiac, MI so had to drive down to this one for the night and then right back up there in the AM. The people in the room next to me yelled litrally all night. I turned the air conditioner fan on high to help drown it out and put in earbuds but it kept waking me up. Finally around 4 in the morning I walked down to the front desk in my PJ's and begged for help. The front desk staff person said she was aware and they were walking all over the facility making a lot of noise. She came up and knocked on their door and told them to be quiet again but it didn't work. She offered to move me to a different room but my son was sleeping at the time and it was the middle of the night.
I was really frustrated that nothing was done before I reported the problem. I'm sure I was not the only guest affected. This family was so loud I could have recorded it through the walls and heard it from the hallway in the courtyard. It was really unusually loud for a guest.
It was a miserable night and I would have expected the staff would have advocated for the guests to quiet down. Our rooms were all facing an open courtyard and not isolated in a hallway so the entire facility of rooms would have been affected, not just me. Really poor decision by the staff.
