Notre villa est situĂ©e Ă  environ 250 mĂštres de la magnifique plage de Bottom Bay, qui est l'une des plages les plus photographiĂ©es au monde. Profitez de la brise atlantique rafraĂźchissante en vous promenant le long des plages isolĂ©es que vous aurez la plupart du temps pour vous. We liked the property. The photos are dated though. There is no line of site to the ocean as depicted in the photos of the property. Pool photos are of a time long gone. A garage structure has been built behind the pool blocking any view of the ocean. You can see it however, just not as well as you might expect from the advertisement of the property. During our stay there were minor issues that can certainly be addressed easily. The oven didn’t work and the pool lights for night swimming failed after the second day. It gets pretty warm in the afternoon into the evening so you may want to open doors but just be prepared for flying insects and crawling ones too. We’re city slickers really, so we not that accustomed to centipedes and winged cockroaches!!! But they exist on the island so just be forewarned. We only had one centipede visit the dining room and the we had the outside lights on but inside lights off, so the three flying critters stayed out. I would certainly stay at the property again because it is a nice area away from the high traffic and noise of the city side. The locals residents call it “the country” and I can see why but it’s not isolated and remote like a US country home. It’s country/suburbs. The rock cliffs and ocean view behind the development is awesome! Sadly, like many other islands of late, seaweed has washed ashore on the east side of the island. That’s where the property sits south/east a bit. If you’re a real beach lover like we are, you’ll adjust!

The property was as advertised and our stay was very enjoyable. The area was very quiet but not really close to anything so you will need a car. With all rentals it is not perfect but for us it was just fine, outdoor area could be furnished better as it is the area you will spend most of your time in. kelly

Bottom Bay property review

On arrival we meet Amanda and housekeeper. Promptly acquainted , and was shown all that was needed to know about property functions. Really enjoyed the area, the quiet neighborhood, our pool, and view of the ocean from our back yard. Access to walking paths around the Bottom Bay beach and watching the goats and monkeys was a daily ritual. We would certainly not hesitate to stay there again, especially with the rural quiet lifestyle .

Heerlijk. Alles was goed geregeld. Misschien is het huisje niet meer het modernst maar alle voorzieningen zijn aanwezig en uitermate verzorgd. Het nabije strand is prachtig.

Lovely villa near Bottom Bay

Lovely villa in walking distance of Bottom Bay. Stayed for 10 days in November 2024 to watch cricket. Quiet location and private pool was very relaxing. You probably need a car to go further afield (although there is a bus service from the top of the road). Aircon in the bedrooms and a warm breeze through the lounge/kitchen/diner. Kitchen has everything you'd need.

The Bottom Bay Family Villa is a great choice if you want a peaceful retreat with easy beach access. Its proximity to Bottom Bay Beach is a significant advantage, offering both convenience and a beautiful setting. Beautiful property!

Overall this is a great house/property to stay at and it exceeded our expectations. being our first time on the island, we had zero clue what we were doing but the owner and property manager were great to work with. This house is beautiful, comfortable and held a couple of surprises (the monkeys being one of them). The distance to the beautiful beach area is walkable, but we were lazy and drove the 1/4 mile and there was plenty of parking. There are a lot of steps to get down to the beach and I'd pass on the coconut drinks. If you prefer a more secluded, quieter vacation this is the way to go. you do need to be a bit adventurous to make the drive and yes you need a car. The only drawback is that if you plan to self cater/cook for yourself, you need to purchase everything so plan accordingly. And bring your firestick/roku. We hope to come back in the future.

nice villa to relax, next to a great beach

Property is in a nice and qiet neighborhood, just a 5 min walk to bottom bay beach. We had all what we needed. Pool was really nice and relaxing. Only negative thing is the backyard. Internet Pictures doesn`t show the reality, didn`t look as green as on pictures. Very sad.

Tout simplement parfait

Nous avons visités la barbade du 5 au 13 mars 2018 avec nos 2 enfants de 9 et 11 ans. Nous avons séjourné à la petite falaise et tout a été parfait, la maison est trÚs bien située avec vue sur la mer et la bottom bay beach à 5 minutes à pieds. Tout est bien tant à l'extérieur qu'à l'intérieur. Propreté, commodité, tout y était. Margaret nous a acceuillit et remit les clefs. La cÎte est magnifique avec ses énormes vagues et ses paysages à couper le souffle. La réservation a trÚs bien été et tout a été parfait. Je recommande cette villa à tout le monde. Nous ne voulions plus partir!!!!!! Nous allons y retourner c'est certain. Merci Wendy et Margaret

The villa is very clean and comfortable!

Bottom Bay beach is in walking distance of the villa -- very beautiful with wonderful coconut palms swaying in the Atlantic breezes. The area is quiet and offers a peaceful alternative to the more touristy areas. I will definitely return for another visit!

Nice Detached Bungalow close to Bottom Bay Beach

We had a pleasant relaxing holiday in a comfortable bungalow having most of the facilities we required. The location is relatively quiet, but not isolated and had no problems getting a good nights sleep. The 3 bedrooms and kitchen are a good size, the lounge/dining room is a bit cluttered, having either too much furniture or too little space. The main criticism is like some other rental properties we have stayed, it suffers from a lack of maintenance, for instance the en-suite shower cubicle floor was covered in sand and congealed soap, whilst the shower head was corroded and covered in limescale, meaning only a dribble of water was emitted. At our request the shower head was replaced and we cleaned the cubicle floor which made the world of difference. Other points of note are the oven takes between 30 and 40 minutes to warm up, which we lost patience with and cooked everything on the hob in a pan. The 19" television is a bit small a leaving me with eye strain and a headache after an evenings viewing, younger guests would not have this problem. The property was not presented in a very clean state, the floors were dusty and the windows difficult to see through, the vacuum cleaner filter was clogged solid, allowing very little suction through it, I emptied the filter, then was able to clean the floors, so that bare feet didn't pick up dust and particles. Would I recommend this bungalow, yes it is basically a comfortable holiday home in a nice location and with a small amount of TLC would earn 5 stars.

Quite a basic property for the money

Really enjoyed Barbados. The property was adequate for our needs (quite basic). We could only use the BBQ once as there was a problem and a part needed to be ordered and unfortunately due to Christmas period did not arrive before we left. We were due to vacate the property by 12 noon and our return flight was 8 pm, I contacted the owner and asked if we could stay until 5 pm . As she didn't have anybody arriving until the following week she allowed us to stay until 5 pm without any extra cost which was extremely kind) and we were very grateful. The pool was cleaned twice during our stay and the gardener called once. The bedding was changed twice. The cleaner Jean was lovely, very happy and extremely good at her job. We found the Bejans very polite and caring. Definitely visit Barbados again. We had arranged a hired car which I think is essential. I would recommend a trip on catamaran. The sea is beautiful and warm.
