We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff were friendly enough, but nothing to write home about.
*CONS* ā Unfortunately, the experience didnāt quite live up to expectations. Breakfast was lukewarm every morning ā the plates were hot, but the food wasnāt (and the toast arrived cold). It seems like it's prepared in advance and left on a hot plate. Iād encourage the staff to try out their breakfast. The bedside lamps were far too large, leaving hardly any space on the table. The bed's headboard wasnāt secured, and the roomās window was broken ā during Storm Amy, it honestly felt like the eye of the storm was at the end of our bed! The toilet seat was loose, the bathroom extractor fan didnāt work, the shower arm was broken, the mirror was broken, and the kettle wouldnāt stop boiling. On top of that, the tiles in the bar toilet were loose and actually felt unsafe.
*PROS* ā The bed was comfortable, the restaurant food was served hot (unlike breakfast), the location is great, thereās plenty of parking, the bar area is lovely, and the in-room tea and coffee supplies were generous.
Overall, while there are some positives, the hotel is in need of serious maintenance and modernisation.
